What wire definition are you using? I've stopped using the curves from Steam Engine and now just use the TCR values. It works for me and is less faff.

On the DNA200 i use the 317L SS Haywire TFR curve, on the Stout and VTC Mini i use the TCR of 0094 for 317L SS.

I have not problem if i use single core wire, single or dual coils, its only when i try Twisted or Clapton that TC fails.

Got my mystery box...

Cthulhu v2 rta
Spool of ud 28x2/32 Clapton wire
Ud cotton pack
2 30ml house liquids
1 30ml premium liquid
1 15ml premium liquid

Was gutted to see the Cthulhu there, I got that frustrated with my last one I binned it, it leaked, deck was wonky, juice control ring would jam amongst other things. The one I've just received is the polar opposite, it works and very well at that, quick dual 6 wrap 2.5mm ss316 build, spaced, 0.22ohm, an hour and half a tank in and it's flawless, that first batch I got my original from must have been quite a poor batch.

The anticipation just gave been killing you pgi!

Do you feel like you've got your £50 worth? It certainly looks like it but depends on the value of the Cthulhu which I'm not 100% on.

Have sold off my Crius v3, the slight afc ring leak eventually became too much if an annoyance!

I think I've gotten my moneys worth, I'd have preferred another dripper over another RTA but I'm not heartbroken at getting a working (and black!) Cthulhu V2...

Going by VD's own pricing:

Cthulhu V2: £32
Skittles House Liquid 30ml: £8
Blue Ice House Liquid 30ml: £8 (I assume, they only have the FW concentrate listed)
Adirondack Seneca 30ml: £12
Beard Vape Co No 71 15ml: £9
15ft UD 28x2/32 Clapton wire: £6 (not listed on site, just the regular 26/32 stuff)
UD Cotton pack: £3

I work that out to be around £78 in value :D

Will certainly be ordering these on a regular basis, if anything it allows someone with more knowledge of juice to pick some out for me based on my likes and dislikes, that I wouldn't usually buy.

Got some of that Seneca in the CV2 just now, a really really nice juice, think Heisenberg but with more focus on fruit rather then menthol. A really smooth vape.

https://vapourdepot.com/product/hardware/kits/mystery-box/

Come in £25, £50, £75 and £100 flavors.

Buy the box of your choice, you'll then get emailed a short questionnaire from VD to fill out and email back to them, wait a few days and enjoy :D

From what I've seen the £25 boxes usually end up around the £30-35 in value, so going by what I got from a £50 box you'll average out about 20% to the good :)

Ok, had another go at an all SS Clapton, 25/30, 317L, build on a new Velocity, not BF this time and on my DNA200 Reuleaux and so far its working in TC, airflow fully open, 90w, 200c limit and its not hitting 180c lol... lets see if it holds after sitting a while...

Looks good. I re-wicked the Griffin and it's perfect now. A good vape IMO.
Flavour is close to the OBS Crius while ease of build and vapour production is up with the Aromamizer.

But

It's far, far too small. I can drain the tank in literally 5 minutes.

Brilliant thank you! Have you bought a few in the past? I wonder what the £100 is like, is it majority of juice?

So far its still working in TC, didnt do anything different from the last coils, but never used this RDA before, its brand new.

I agree about flavour being close to the Crius and i think both are as good or better than the Aromamizer, the clouds it can chuck are nutts for a RTA, but it seriously drinks the juice, i go through 2 tanks at work minimum, takes you to carry a full bottle of juice if your gonna be out for a hour or two, you can chain vape through a tank in no time at all.

This is my first!

A large part is juice (they also do juice only mystery boxes!) but you're guaranteed at least one RDA/RTA/Subtank, at least with the £25/50 boxes. At a guess the £100 box would give an RDA, an RTA, a mod, juice, wire, wick and probably other stuff :)

May stump up for a £100 box once I start getting more overtime at work :D

My cousin vapes Element's - Frost religiously although he is rather tired of paying those premium prices. I was hoping to DIY a large batch of liquid to his taste although a simple menthol won't cut it for him as it tends to be "sweet" apparently :p Any idea's on a recipe similar to that particular liquid? Been on the look out for Inwera Group - Frost concentrate but Chefs Vapour don't ever have it in stock

Well, moral of the story is dont buy cheap wire, started off trying to make up some claptons out of ni200, and kept getting the main wire breaking when the wrap wire caught on itself in the reel and just pulled the whole rig apart.

Got to the "sod this" stage with that, so i broke out the kanthal, pulled off what i needed, trimmed, then slipped trying to tuck the end back in and boom, my whole desk is transformed into a giant slinky, same story with the wrap wire.

*gives up and goes to buy some ud wire*

Just buy some Beadalone Spool Tamers... not had any disasters with one of them on the spool.

Need more wire anyway, i do not have the patience to undo the mess thats currently residing in my wastepaper basket lol

The other moral is vertical coils, harder than i thought they'd be, figured it'd just be a case of twisting a normal coil vertical (used my previous clapton as i had nothing else) and packing around with cotton.

Getting nowt but burnt hits or no vapour, doesnt seem to have a sweet spot and the coil hasnt got hot spots. oh well was worth a try. I still have some 26 gauge ud so that'll have to tide me over while i buy some more.

Might grab another rta, anything similar in size/capacity/airflow to a subtank plus but with a better build deck?

Going to buy a couple more 18650s for the VTC mini.
I currently have 2x Samsung 30Qs but I find they don't last long enough, sure I get the day out of both of them but would like more...
I also bought a Nitecore D2 charger last week which is OK but takes an age to charge to full...only cost me £13.50 from the bay though so pretty god VFM.
When I buy 2 more batteries the charge time will obviously be less of an issue.
At least the battery is full of charge though which the VTC mini on-board charger won't do, it always seemed to charge to about 90%.

Dripped juice all over my leg earlier as I forgot to close the filling cap on the Crius - whoops.
The Crius keeps leaking slightly from the juice flow control ring but found that twisting it a few times sorts that out - at least for a while.
One of the main reasons for buying the Crius in the first place was because I got fed up of the leaky Subtank mini...I have a moleskin coat and don't want to end up with a stain - no matter how nice it might smell.
