Just curious; but am I safe in assuming everyone in this thread is an ex smoker/smoker?

Ex 25+ rollie a day smoker.

Not gonna lie, was hard at first, had to force myself to only take the nautilis to work but still smoked like a train at home.

But thanks to this thread and the advice of the guys on here i havent touched a cig in months ajd the last time i did it turned me, got through half of one and just chucked the rest of the brand new pack in the bin.

Ex smoker of 31 year, 20 a day and the odd cigar...

Been vaping almost 2 years without a single cigarette.

Update on the Nugget:
Fully charged it last night, put a single coil build in the goblin mini v2, 0.47 ohms at 25w, got about 1h10m solid vaping time out of it.

hey guys long time since i been in here but need some advice ..

been very happy with my subtank mini and making my own coils at 0.7-1.0 at 15 odd watts no probs

but about 2 months ago i picked up evic mini new but have still not used it lol why you ask .

all this battery malarky worries me about exploding and stuff (currentley have a coolfire 4 )i dont really want to start messing with charges and stuff and as the evic is regulated ?

is it safe to just buy the 1 battery ie samsung q30 and whack it in and charge it in the device basically using it like a normal built in battery then bin it after say 4 or 5 months and replace it ?

thanks

You can't go wrong with the 30Q grab a couple and a nitecore i2 charger (~£15) use a reputable seller (ecoluxshop on ebay) and store them in the plastic battery case they come in when not in use and you'll be fine.

Horror stories come from misuse. Either storing them incorrectly or trying to draw more current than they are designed for

money is a bit tight at the minute thats why i asked would it be ok to just buy the 1 battery and leave it in the evic and let that charge it via the built in usb .

i would like to just whack it in and then leave it and charge when needed from the device then after 4 or 5 months bin the battery and buy a new one ?

would this be safe

i wont be whacking loads of watts and stuff i can tell you now ill be sticking to 15 or 16 watts in wattage mode using my subtank mini and thats it

You'll be fine with that mate, the reason they've been blowing up is people chucking them in their pockets with keys and change. Keep it in the mod, or keep it in a case, and keep an eye on it while it charges, don't leave it on overnight or go out etc. If you do all that you'll have zero issues. You can replace the battery whenever you want, they just lose their max capacity over time so eventually it'll annoy you with running out all the time. If you're leaving it inside the mod you won't have to worry about nicked battery wraps or anything either :)

People spend £80 on a mod, £40 on a tank, £10 a pair of batteries, and £3.50 on a chinese charger from ebay, carry the spares loose in pockets and people wonder why they explode.

The batteries in these things when treated right are no more dangerous than the battery in your mobile phone, laptop, ipod, ipad etc, buy good batteries, good chargers and use good practice and theyll never give you bother.

Tbh, I don't even leave my batteries in regulated mods overnight etc. Dunno if it's a step too far but I wouldn't live it down burning the house down :p Plus no smoke alarm upstairs due to my vaping setting it off

Probably unnessecary, i'll amend that statement if i ever burn my house down.

We have smoke alarms everywhere, carbon monoxide detectors too, once had our chimney back up and we nearly died from the poisoning (doctors said if our alarms had been 30 minutes to an hour later we wouldnt have woken up to them).

Havent had any issues with vaping setting them off apart from once when i did it to see if it'd work

Myepack is alright.. but I only get batteries from ecolux, sorry I grabbed the last pair of 30Qs over the weekend or Torchy

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-30A-To...212795?hash=item1c633095fb:g:RRQAAOSwd0BVu-qF

get samsungs or LG's anything else is a waste of cash... the blues are fine but have a higher amp rating but lower capacity and are design for low ohm, high vape volume vaping.

What device is the battery going in?

evic mini

i vape pretty hard lol (i was on 50 a day cigs) but for the last 15 months i have been on subtank mini and not touched one ciggy yet. also started off on high nic but am now down to 1.5

0.7-1.2 ohms coil at around 14 or 15 watts

I don't know the amp limit input of that chip but it's generally max wattage / 2.5 for the amp.. you want a 30amp battery. Both the LG HG2 or the sammy 30Q (which I think is a better battery) will work fine.

30Q or HG2 can get them from the places stated above or if brave enough from fastech/gearbest.
and bigjonny gratz on giving up the cigs, we are all in the same boat mate and its why we all started, its east to get caught up in the subohm/cloud ******** but its honestly its what stops you from smoking that really counts, if you are vaping hard the mini might not last a day even at the low voltage you are putting through it so you can upgrade or carry a spare battery its up to you really (carrying a spare battery in a plastic case is the cheap option but consider you will have to get a half decent charger aswell)

I want to get back into vaping, but I find it confusing with all these different parts you need and then all variable and adjustable voltages.

Are there any good kits that have everything and just work out the box ?

The basic concept has remained the same. People have turned it into a expensive hobby instead of a less expensive and less harmful nrt. Don't fall into the trap/hype and carry a mini suitcase around. Vaping has definitely gone backwards to some degree but it is safer if you don't buy knock off batteries and chargers. I'm sure others will recommend an aio kit as I have no intention keeping up with the latest gimmick.
