Hey guys, I'm new to the RDA scene so was just wandering if some one can tell me what the difference will be when I use the Alien Clapton compared to the Fused Clapton? Thanks.
I'm not hot on the boutique wire and designer coils scene, it's just a money for metal if you ask me... so I most likely need correcting.. lol
fused clapton is where the two core wires are fused together and alien is where the wrapped wire forms a pretty pattern.
in general there's some rules of thumb when it comes to wire,
- the more surface the wire the more vapor you're going to get.
- the more rigged the wire, the more pockets you have for juice, the overall surface area also increases, the more vapor you're going to get.
- the more wire you have in gauge or length, the more ramp up time and the more power your going to need.
There is an art to making such coils, and I can tell the difference between plain jane kanthal and designer coils, but I don't see myself making any soon.. Once it gets to the levels of different boutique wire and designer coils, I really can't tell, maybe it's lack of experience or interest.. to me it's like people taking about different tyres on road cars.
I normally just use spools normal kantal, clapton or tiny/narrow claptons depending on the atty. I did place a set step coils in to an atty once as the normal claptons was taking too long to ramp up and break in.
EDIT: love the way that manufacture mixes AWG with MMs... laziness. lol
