Ok, so I got around to whacking a couple of coils on the Plume Veil...

0.35 @40-45w on the Sig results in a smooth, hot vape. Very nice :)
For some reason, it hates being on the Nemesis and gets far too hot with a not too nice vape to the point where the heat actually spreads to the top of the battery and I don't feel safe doing it. The MX2 is perfectly fine on there and has no such issue.

How do they compare? It's roughly equivalent to the MX2 with all but the last three holes closed, though I guess it's a little better for flavour if I was pushed to call it.

It looks pretty slick on the Sig and it's happy being there, so there it stays :) The MX2 gets to play with the Nemi.

Oh, currently running with the post holes open and no probs so far, but I am using 80/20 vg/pg (Strawberry fields fwiw), so I don't know how it'll behave with thinner stuff.
It also whistles loudly (like the BD v2) if you don't close off the main holes by a fraction :D

I love the Plume Veil, great bit of kit. How have you got the delrin insulator adjusted, personally I liked open about half way. I never tried it on the Nemi to be honest so not sure what the deal is with that.

Glad you are enjoying it though. :)

Hey Guys

The Cloupor 30 watt mini has just arrived :)

It really is tiny, but it has a nice weighty feel to it.

Perfect for out & about vaping, stuck at work until 5.30 :( but will post some photos of it later.

It will look good with the squape nano tank fitted on it :)

Cheers all

Look forward to seeing the photos and hearing your thoughts on this one, very intriguing indeed! :)

Haven't really messed with that delrin adjuster too much so far. The difference is subtle and I'll have a fiddle a bit more to see what's what.
The Nemi issue may be down to my build perhaps. I dunno. The same goes for it being a little picky about how much juice it likes to provide a nice vape. Too little or slightly too much and it can be a bit crappy every now and then. Proper Goldilocks syndrome :D

I also find I have to adjust the wattage every so often to keep it sweet. I dunno, we'll see how it goes. Nice when it's on song though.

It is very subtle, I just found it intensified the flavour slightly and cooled down the vape a touch.

I wonder if it could be to much or not enough wick? Is the resistance reading on the Sig stable?

Yeah, it all seems to be in order and wicking seems fine to me. Not too much, not too little.
It's not like I have to constantly change it or anything. Just every now and then. It sounds worse than it is :) It's generally fine and it's early days.

Oh, I have no idea if this is just down to the particular clone that I have, but the major annoyance for me is that the top cap is very tight. This means that if I want to check the juice level, I have to pull off the entire body. Is it the same with yours?

That's fair enough, it might just want some tweaking to get it where you like it or might even settle in on its own after some use.

The top cap wasn't very tight but it certainly was tighter than the barrel so like you I would pull the entire body off the deck. :)

Have you got the version with the large logo and two air holes on the top cap of the newer 1.5 version with small logo and 4/5 air holes on the top cap?

I have the small logo and two airholes on the top cap :D This one
Also, the base can be pushed through the main body and doesn't sit on a lip. No huge biggie, but it does mean you have to take extra care to make sure that the base is flush on a mod.

I haven't seen one like that before, its like the original but with new logo and stainless deck instead of gold plated.

Yeah that was something that bugged me a bit about it, its like if the deck doesn't sit flush on top of the mod the body will slide to far down and cover the air flow in the posts.

Tried this year's back and always got a weird ****** taste, I'm talking the cheap ones 20quid and that. Got speaking to my mate at work and he had a pretty good one think it's a MVP taste or something,

The taste was better, I could actually feel it worked.

I'm Smoking way to many cancer sticks recently so ask for his recommendation,He said the Aspire premium VV kit was best bang for buck. Just got it about 4 hours ago jesus I love it! On the watermelon atm.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it and good luck in your move to a tobacco free life! :)

Hey peeps, So my replacement deck insulator came for my KF4 but my first build wasnt to good. I went with the kayfun 3 rule of less is more cotton and I nearly took out the back of my throat with a dry hit!

Also I dont have an ultra sonic cleaner so how do you get rid of that metal taste? Ive had it soaking in boiling water and fairy 3 times now?

Isopropyl alcohol is great for cleaning, I have heard vodka works too but not tried myself. :)

Thanks roman, much appreciated. Good to hear they even included some extra like the pouch and spare magnets.

Think I will have to grab one of these little beauties! :D

Tbh for an in the pocket/car device its perfect for me, I was really surprised by its weight too, with a 22mm atty on top it wont easily fall over.

The coil resistance reading is bang on as well, shame its not a floating pin but never mind, also you can use any mini usb cable in it, unlike the T8 which for some odd reason had a longer usb socket & kindle/mobile phone usb cables would not work with it.

13 watts on the Kayfuns is perfect for my vaping tastes too.

Cheers all

A spring loaded/floating pin would be nice but it wont bother me to much, as you say its the ideal carry mod so I wont be changing atomizers to often with it.

The fact its got some weight to it sounds nice too so it isn't top heavy with an atty on it.

The lipo batteries in my Hana mini (my current carry mod) could do with replacing but I think just getting one of these with an 18650 is better than trying to get replacement lipos for the Hana.

Had another look at the coil before going to swap it out tonight, turns out one of the post screws was loose! Tightened it up and it's sat beautifully at 1.1. Just hope it holds up until the Koiler comes as I can't wrap for **** :p

Yeah that's a common problem a loose screw causing crazy resistance readings and causing yucky burnt hits!

Slinx, what mod are you trying the Evod on out of curiosity?

I tried it with few; all with the same 510 to ego adaptor so I don't know why I would think it would make a difference but none of my mods have an ego built on. I have managed to get it firing on my itaste now the only mod(ish) device that has an ego connector built on, but I took a risk and pulled the pin connector quite far out.

Strange, can't see why it would not work with the 510 adapter. Can the pin in the centre of the adapter be adjusted, some can some can't AFAIK.

Thanks for the replies, using my manhattan mod, Efest 18650 , coils are 0.18 ohms at the moment.

I'm struggling to get a good vape (I want to be chuckin dem cloudz) at the moment, my builds just aren't what they use to be! building on my Geyser quad coiling this morning, done two builds so far, both have been a absolutely terrible vape.

I think its about time I got a Boxmod

On a fresh charged battery with a 0.18 coil you will be pulling ~ 98 watts.

Edit: I use an IPV3 regularly and its a nice mod, will go to 165 watts if you are so inclined and have lungs of steel!
The Sigelei 100w is worth a look too.

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person that doesn't care about clouds of vapour. I never cared about what I exhaled when I smoked and don't now either. Seems to hit everyone but me, been vaping over 4 years now and all I want is flavour and the hit.

Not at all, there are plenty of people who chase the flavour and not the clouds. Its probably the safer way to vape TBH.

My Cloupor Mini just arrived, got to say im impressed with it, very sturdy and heavy little mod, tested the voltage output using an inline voltmeter and my magma running a dual 1.1ohm coil and its damn near spot on, far better that my
Hana Clone that at 30 watts is 1volt under what it should be, the Cloupor is within 0.3 of a volt :)

Great stuff, every ones feedback on this little guy seems to be really positive so far, it seems like the Istick has really met its match.

I have my istick with me and set them side by side, the Cloupor mini looks barely a mm longer and wider... but is a Lot heavier, I actually think its heavier than my Hana Clone and not far off the Vaporflask.... its surprising, but comfy to hold.

From my limited testing, works great and hits very close to the volts it should for the coil im running, plus tried a friends atty on it too and ran the same tests/wattage on my Hana Clone to compare, the hana is way off the higher the wattage you go up, at 30watts the hana is 1volt under what it should be, but the Cloupor is damn near spot on, im very pleased and glad I have 2 more on order...

Personally I like the fact it has weight to it but is compact, easy to fit in the pocket but the weight stops it being top heavy with an atomizer on it and a bit of weight just feels nice in the hand. :)

I really hope you can pull off the DNA40 transplant!! :D

Indeed, I have a Magma running a dual 1.1ohm coil running at 18watts and people in the smoke area complain about the amount of vapor its putting out :P

Ive a 1.8ohm in a veritas that performs just as well too at only 15watts.

Indeed you can a get a good compromise of flavour and satisfying vaper production fairly easily, particularly with the RDA's you mentioned.
