***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

I popped into my local vaping shop and came out with a new box. Its the Balrog UD. Loving it but it has options that i was enjoying the temperature control option in the shop but cant replicate it because i dont have any of the wire that it uses. I have options of using SS, nickel ni200 or titanium. Which would be best for making a simple single sub ohm coil? Looking at about 0.5 - 0.8.
Im using a kbox rba. I have had no problems making above 1ohm coils.

I only have kanthal 28awg, i tried a sub ohm by twisting the wire together, works very well at about 30W. The flavour is so much better at sub ohm.

Being quite new to the whole DIY liquid thing, done a few one shots and couple of my own bits, I'm not sure who it was on the previous page that mentioned doing it by weight... but my god has it saved me money and time!! Thank you!! Made up 700ml in half the time it normally takes me, no mess, no syringes laying around!

Titanium or SS 316, SS is safer as it can be fired in power mode, but I find titanium the most consistent in temp mode

Gee how much polar blast did you put in the B52...the flavour needs spicing up a bit.

I didn't put anything extra in, I just mixed it at 3%.

Just to confirm it's not a mix I made myself, it's a 'blended' concentrate by FlavourArt UK.

That was probably me, haha. Glad you moved away from the dark side that is mixing by volume!

Recently wanted to get back to vaping, took my ego one out of the drawer and it is kaput for some reason. Can anyone recommend a replacement for around £40? Or can I just buy any old other battery bit and screw my tank(?) thing on to that?

Whenever I go on vape shop sites I find myself staring blankly completely clueless, any advice appreciated

you can get a coolfire plus battery and sub tank for £45, there not bad but i ended up swapping the tank for a aspire atlantis evo as i found i got on better with it, you can also get one wit a apex tank but i dont know if this is better or not,

Time to join the mixing by weight club I think. Are you guys just zeroing the scales before the next part is added to make life easier?

Yeah that's it man.

Scales on > Bottle on > Zero
Add Nic > Zero
Add concentrates > Zero
(I shake at this point to get a good mix before)
Add PG > Zero
Add VG > Zero

My only advice is get a set of scales that can handle a fair bit of weight. Amazon sell some that do 500g x 0.01g (http://amzn.eu/3zwQDGA) and I've got a 2KG x 0.1g set for BIG batches. 500g ones are good up to about 750ml bottles I reckon.

Time to start planning my half yearly spend on new gear/attys

I have a mini SX, which I love, I'm going to add a DNA 75, probably Vaporshark, maybe a Hcigar equivalent.

gonna get some scales as I want my mixes to be more consistent

I want to try some new attys, been using OBS Crius and the Griffin V2 for ages now.

What are the current favourite RBA's - looking for 2 or 3 to get me through the next six months

Avacodo 24 any good?

Any others that people like?

I was thinking of making up just some 10ml bottle with 10% flour to try them out individually...is 10% of a single flavor about right for Flavour Art?

Also...I assume that the DarkStar Nic at 7.2%, is that inputted as 72% for the calculators?

10% of any FlavourArt concentrate is FAR too much. You want anywhere between 0.5-4% with FA.

Single flavours I'd recommend starting at 3% though.

Use http://e-liquid-recipes.com/create for your calculator, enter 72 for where it says Nicotine Strength.

So I have decided that I need to give up smoking, and start vaping instead.

I have just picked up a smok alien kit, as that looked like it was good.
I will be looking to build my own coils, so am after recommendations for a cheap RBA for sub ohm vaping.
Also is there any flavours of liquid that is highly recommended to buy?

It's my understanding that the alien comes with a rebuild able tank atty doesn't it? If so, you just need wire and wick (cotton wick, avoid silica). Wire selection can be a bit of trial and error due to things like how much space the atomiser has to build in (eg a tight deck means giant paperclip wire coils 5in wide are a no go), but I'm sure someone here who has it will give you an idea of what gauge wire and coil size has provided a good vape for them.

I use Sub Ohm kits, so I don't build, and have no intention to.

Im after a new mod, and I've found the Eleaf Ipower 80w mod, with a 5000MaH battery.

Im put off by mods that require 2 or 3 18650 batteries for the faff of charging them, and cost of batteries.

If I were to go for an external battery mod I'd probably go for an RX200 and a Cleito Maxi 120, but if I went for the Eleaf id probably get a TFV8 baby or standard cleito and run around 60w.

Do I need a higher power mod? I currently use an Innokin disrupter 50w mod with a kangertech protank 4 and feel the flavour output is terrible in comparison to higher powered mods. cloud output is fine, great for what it is, I tend to take 5-6 second drags and chain vape on breaks at work, so i want something to give me great taste output (cleitos with a 0.4 coil will)
All im after is decent cloud output (I do enjoy blowing the odd smoke ring) and flavour and hit. i use a 70/30 homebrew mix. cheers!

I prefer the baby beast over the standard cleito for flavour and clouds, that is depending on what coils you use in the baby beast

what mod do you use with that? as i say, still cant decide on integrated lipo battery for 60-70w vaping (and probably a day and a half battery life) or a 2 battery mod.
