***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

Well my smoktech G Priv mod does not like my serpent mini, been giving me high ohms reading for the past few days. It will fire for 10 mins then error out and give me the message ohms too high.

I've taken the wotofo twisted coil that came with the tank and put a fused clapton coil at .23ohm and it's still giving me the high ohms reading :/.

I've cleaned the 510 thread out a few times and made sure the coil is not too high or too low in the tank.

Funny thing is my DNA 200 mod will fire the tank with any coil in it.

Not sure what else to do, might have to send the mod back to ft as I've updated the firmware but that hasn't solved the high ohms reading.

Is it just the serpent mini it does it with?

Yeh with both my rda's it fires fine. My combo rdta tank fires fine on the g priv mod.

Serpent mini fires fine on my dna200 mod so not sure why the g priv has issues with it. I've lowered the initial ohms on the mod but that doesn't help.

So many choices! I'd say the safest, cheapest and most readily available that fits your criteria at present is the Smok Alien kit. It's compact, uses 2 18650s, great informative display and very reliable. Had mine for almost 3 months now. It's been dropped, scratched and thrown about a fair bit and still functions like new. The baby beast tank isn't quite for me, but it's decent for flavour and even better for cloud production.

does the smok alien recharge the batteries when plugged in or do you need a seperate charger?

I cannot reiterate this enough. PLEASE DO NOT USE IN-BUILT CHARGING FOR TWO OR HIGHER CELL MODS unless it has what's called 'balance charging', which is usually only found on Evolv (DNA) devices.

Use a dedicated external charger.

Is the serpents 510 adjustable? I'm thinking maybe your mod has a deeper then usual 510 or something...

I don't think it is, I've screwed it in tight as possible. Even the pin at the bottom is pretty tight but does protrude a bit out of the tank itself.

I've put another coil in it, and so far it seems to be firing on on the g priv mod. Could be my coil was a bit suspect as I noticed when I was pulsing it, the legs of the coil were getting hotter than the actual coil. Fixed it now so will see how it carries on for the time being.

Ah I meant you could try make the pin longer as maybe it wasn't making a good connection with the mod, a strange one for sure :)

This, though the evic primo I have sat at the post office claims to have full balance charging, I'll give it a try over the weekend with some old he4's. Even if so I wouldn't use it, it's become second nature just to pop cells out to charge. Speaking of external chargers, I do like the look of xtar's new 6 bay.

I'll give it a try, not sure if it will fire if I loosen the pin a bit.

Guess I'll give it a try and see what happens.

@Gee is this the one?

PG/VG/Nic (72mg PG) - Darkstar Vapour // get it all separately. It takes 30 seconds to mix up your base by weight (using scales).

Concentrates - FlavourArt.co.uk, Vapable, thee-cigshop.co.uk // personal preference. I swear by FlavourArt (free of any nasties) and imo they're the best concentrates out there for accuracy of flavours. NOTHING beats their Tiramisu.

Bottles - ibottles.co.uk

Initial cost may seem a bit high but I promise you, once you get a few concentrates you'll have so much fun coming up with new recipes yourself. It's by far my part of vaping. Hell of a lot cheaper too. You're talking ~£5-6 for 100ml.

I'd recommend something fruity to get you started (holla if you need some ideas), plus they don't need any time to settle/mature. Straight in a bottle, shake it up and you're good to go.

I have been looking at some recipes and they make sense somewhat but I've noticed triangles by some of them "warning about this flavour" this means it has dicetyl in them?

I wouldn't bother. Charging rate on them is still pretty crap. Get the Opus BT-C3100.

That's the 'basic' guide to get you going. There's a guide to mixing by weight on Reddit which is good, but I'm planning to write one on Saturday and post it in here, similar to like what @pgi947 has done with the FT buying guide.

Btw those scales are an absolute steal at £9.99. I paid £16 for mine!

The triangle shows any warnings the concentrate might have. For example, cracks plastic tanks, contains diketones etc.

Right then fellas thinking of upgrading my coolfire IV plus as its starting to turn itself off mid vape. I change flavours quite a bit at the moment due to having bought a sample pack and its taking its toll on the poor coil.

What are my options? I don't go past 25w on this I've tried vaping at 70w with an aspire tank and didn't notice anything different so something I'm doing wrong maybe?

Like the look of the smok alien and its decent review but 200w?! :D

Thoughts please want to order this by the weekend.

Hi guys,

I've been vaping for a few weeks now & I must say it really has helped me with quitting smoking. I've prob smoked about 8 cigs over the past 3 weeks or so. (usually 10-15 a day smoker)

my current setup is
Mod: Smoke Alien
Tanks: Smoke TFV8 Baby Beast & Aspire Cleito

I prefer Cleito to the Baby Beast, simply not getting on with the beast, the coils just do not seem to last.

So to the point in hand. I think it's about time I started considering a rebuildable tank.
I'm primarily a flavour chaser (not too concerned with big clouds). Looking for a tank that is easy to build & would really prefer something where I can replace the coils etc without having to empty out the tank.

I've attempted to research online, man what a mine field. Any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated, I'll then research each suggestion.

So, what are your thoughts?

Well, there's certainly a lot of choice out there. But at the moment, all signs point to the recently released Troll RTA. I had a chance to try one last night actually and I resented having to give it my friend back. Flavour was excellent considering it was just a few wraps of 26 Nichrome and not a fancy Clapton build. As well as seemingly every major YouTube reviewer, there's a few people on here who seem taken with it too.

First time RTA I'd recommend either the troll RTA (if you can find stock!) Or the aromamizer rdta/aromamizer supreme, all 3 are pretty hard to wick wrong, making them more friendly to someone new to rebuildables, and all come with velocity style decks so easy to fit coils.

There's a few places with stock now thankfully. Cancelled my order from FT as the ETA reset and I want it before mid next week so just ordered from UK ECIG STORE instead.

You need scales and to wait for gee to do his diy mixing guide (due this weekend).

In the mean time stock up on 72mg pg nic as this will also be sodomized by tpd.

Why the need for "scales"? I've been mixing for a few years and never needed them.
