well, finally got ordering with jackamoo again, although with this tpd in place diy'ing is seeming more and more valid an option, i quite liked the flavour shot system i was using in germany.

Oh, nice. Thanks for that. Only problem with FT is the delivery time but I do have a reel of Kanthal and two reels of SS316L clapton so that should last me while I wait for the new wire to turn up. Will probably pick up a reel of each just to experiment with different coils. Sounds like fun

Is the tank essentially a TPD version of the crown 3, or does it have any other features?

I ordered 5 different types of specialist wire to experiment with and see how it all works out. That is 25m of some quite complex types of wire for less than £20 including shipping from China. Pretty good value I think.
At the moment I'm using pre-built coils and change them about every 5 to 7 days.

I change my Crown 3 coil every week usually. But I chain vape when I'm not at work
Re-coil my tanks usually every month or two. Re-wick every other week. Depends on the juice I'm vaping really.

I'm a bit late in the day to ask, but anyone seen the new Therion BF 75C squonker in stock anywhere for quick delivery?
Sourced one but they said they won't be posted out until Monday, never ordered it as I don't know if they have actual stock in their hand or not.
Read that the buttons are rainproof on the new model, anyone know if there any reviews anywhere that confirms rain proofing?

The other night my mod had to stay in my pocket as the rain came down Scottish torrential style when I was walking the dog.
Always had my eye on the Charon, but was thinking about the Aegis as it's pretty hardcore so maybe it's better suited, but can get the Charon cheaper on Gearbest.

I've had mine in my hand when I've been walking in the rain, seems to hold up fine mate. This wasn't anything torrential mind you, if it is I'll put it in the pocket.
I have seen the Aegis and it looks like it's built like a butchers wife. If you want something waterproof mate I'd say go for that.
I'm not putting the Charon down in any way, it's been my daily carry for a good 3 months and it's rock solid. I've only stopped using it recently due to buying a Wismec Reuleaux Gen 3 as I wanted a little more battery life for those 4pm pub sessions after work on a Friday!

Problem Iv'e got is, as you said just pocket it if the rain gets too crazy, but outwith giving squonking a shot, I don't really need any of them but want all of them.
Not getting anywhere fast with any one replying about Therion BF 75C squonker stock queries, but watched a few vids now and got the usual sidetracked to other mods and most reviewers are saying to try a cheaper squonk mod before jumping in in case you just don't like it, so the Charon is still in the basket, and a Coppervape BF has fell in with it, can probably get the Aegis from FT too with the 3 of them coming in less than the outlay for the Therion squonk, but they'll take a few weeks to get here.

Where are you lot buying your nic shots from these days or is there somewhere you can still get hold of 7.2% nic.
Was looking at Darkstar earlier and it's £16 for 18 bottles. I guess it's best to get 100% VG nowadays.
Can someone check the mix here please to make sure I'm on track as I never used the nic shots before.
100ml batch @ VG70/30 - 5.4mg nic
30ml of 100% VG nic @1.8%
40ml of VG
18ml of PG
12ml of flavour
