***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

I mostly find vapour takers are not an irritant. Sometimes you do see the odd individual who will produce huge billowing clouds of sickly smelling vapour but they are few and far between. I often see people with little ones which don't produce much smell or vapour, using them on buses or in places they should not, but they cause none to minimal smell. I have started noticing people dropping these devices in the street now and I sometimes think about grabbing one to harvest the batteries for projects.

Now this is a problem, the throwaway devices that people are buying and just throwing in the floor when finished, it's a new kind of littering that contains a battery and made of plastic and I see them everywhere. I'm a vaper of smaller devices but throwaway devices should be banned IMO

Yeah it's basically e-waste and people are chucking it on the floor. I have seen a couple and I'm just amazed that people can't keep that little pocket device in their bloody pockets for like 5 mins more to drop it in a bin at least.

Tbh it really needs looking at though because that kind of material should be recycled.

Those of you after 7.2% Nic base - I've bought both VG & PG bases from these guys:

They will only sell B2B, so I used my wife's cat breeding company number, without issue.

I buy 1000ml and keep it in the freezer - lasts forever

Well I'm back to vaping and have got my self a Vaporesso Target 80 with the Itank. I like the kit and will try the .4 coil soon and get a narrower driptip. I tried 88Vape apple crumble and it just tasted like fat, utterly grim. Roit squad Ultimate Peach Tea was epic but the prices are a bit high.
Any recommendations for another brand if Peach tea? Or a DIY recipe? A simple one that I can put a menthol nic shot in maybe.

Can anyone recommend a good vaping kit and juice, website to buy etc ?

Looking to quit smoking so would want juice with nicotine. Currently 20 a day b&h gold.

Not bothered by price as will ultimately be way cheaper than smoking.

'Uwell Caliburn G'* is a nice refillable pod system that has a lovely tight draw emulating the cigarette pull. It returns great flavour, and is really cheap for coils and pods etc.

Nicotine Salts are best to help you jump from cigarettes. I use the Just Juice brand, their NicSalt range is great.

I'd start at the 20mg NicSalt and ease myself down, else you'll be straight back on the gold!

Stay away from tobacco flavours, they're all lies and taste nasty.

Good luck

*there are newer Uwell Caliburn models: the G2 and the X. I currently have the G2, great update however the draw is not as tight. I've not tried the X so wouldn't be able to advise on that, but reviews are good. The G won awards, and is quite cheap these days so can't go wrong with it. Only issue I had with the G was it leaked, but then I think most pod systems leak, however it was nothing that couldn't be resolved with a tissue every now and then.

edit: ecigarettedirect.co.uk is where I buy my replacement coils and pods online, however Uwell are common across most vape sites/shops.

FYI - I replace my coil once a week maybe

Cheers will looks into it.

So you have your juice that you need a supply of and you need a supply of coils as well? I assume coils is the thing that heats up to creat the vapour?

What ohm do recommend? I guess I can try the ones you get with it and go from there.

All seems a bit more complicated than I expected.

Yeh pretty much, not too complicated really.

There are many different types, all providing different pros and cons - but coming straight from fags onto a vape and wanting to stick with it means you'll need something which isn't too dissimilar from drawing on a fag, and that's where these good quality, small pod devices are great. However, most systems will require a coil to be replaced, and they'll vary in duration.

These smaller pod systems are basically refillable plastic pods where you insert the replaceable coil (the pods can also be replaced if they get damaged or start leaking profusely), then fill up with liquid. After a certain amount of use you'll need to replace the coil as the cotton will be dirty, changing the taste and limiting the draw. The ohm is personal preference, however I used the 0.8ohm in my G and I'm using the 1.2ohm in my G2 - once you're in the vaping world for a bit you'll understand the variations across the devices easily.

The good thing about these smaller pod systems now is they're so cheap, and the coils and replacement stuff is dirt cheap too. It's the liquid that will get you so shop around, I think a lot of people in this thread make their own, too.

Essentially, buy a good pod kit and a pack of replacement coils, buy some nicsalt liquid and that's it you're good to go :)

There are so many vape choices out there it is hard to recommened 1. The important think to remember is if you dont get on with your first cvhoice do not give up. There are multiple factors to consider

vape Has 3 main ingredients. PG, VG and of course nicotine

PG give slightly better flacour but a harsher throat hurt (can be quite uncompfortable)
VG denser clouds, better flavour (for me) and much much smoother
Nicotine, High nicotine levels can hurt your throat (everyone different). For smoothest vape i vape only juices with at least 70% VG 30%PG ratio and 2mg of nicotine (i smoked 2 ounces of GV every 2 to 3 days (no filter) and this combo done teh trick for me.

You then have 3 tyoes of Vaping
MTL - Mouth to Lung - Simulates smoking more closely, has a tight airflow, minimal clouds
DL - Direct to Lung - Much larger airflow, allows for better flavour and big clouds (if you want)
RDL - Restricted Direct to Lung as DL but slightly tighter draw, someti8mes more flavour and less cloud (batteries and juice will last longer)

Finally there are flavours. You have your berries, Ices (mixed with berries), methol (mixed with berries), desserts, drinks )(cola, iron bru) Doughnuts and cerals to name a few. Some flavours will likey make up your all day vape while others you may enjoy in certains stints.

When i quite smoking after 25 years i switched from smoking to vaping and back again a few times until i found my own personal combination of the above, for me 70% minimum on teh VG, Desserts (love me rice pudding) and DL, now also enjoying RDL.

Coils, To start with you will probably use the coils provided by a manuafcturer but eventually move on to hand made coild that you wick yourself, these will save a fortune but do not bother untill you have found your grove and are ready to move to a system that facilitates these (RDA's and RTA's).

What i would recomend is buy 1 mod on its own, pick any you liek from Vopoo, Smok, Wotofo Aspire of my prefernce Lost vape. Then buy 1 tank that meets each type of vaping MTL Aspire Naautilus 3S, DL Ewell crown 4 and RDL just reduce teh airflow on the uwell. Dont spend big to start off with and experiment with flavours but i recomend starting at 70% VG maybe 60% on MTL

And stay away from mechs till you really know what you are doing :)

I have turned to the dark side and enjoying the disposable Lost Mary BM3500 devices I get these in a box of 10 from the wholesale.

I have a large metal tin I place them in once used. They are small, don't leak and discretely smokable if required! The vape juice is very sweet and IMO better than most DIY juices. I miss T-Juice Red Astair but other than that I'm happy with the change. No coils, they just work.

I can see the impact they would have if people just throw them on the floor, such a shame if these get banned. They are to me an excellent way of keeping of the cigarette.

Thanks for the replies @cliffy and @NVP

Ended up going to a local vape shop and they were very helpful, took me through it all.

They had the Caliburn but I think it was a A2 model not the G series.

Anyhow just asked them to recommend something for a noob.

Which was the VAXO Xlim Pro
For fluids ohm brew nic salts 18mg and a few 12mg in various flavors.

Just testing at the moment, not committed yet or set a date to make the switch.

But i am pleased with the xlim, the draw on it with the slider holes closed is very familiar with a cigarette which was surprising. I can definitely see that scratching that itch / craving.

The ohm brew again tasted nice to me but don’t have anything to compare to. On the closed setting if you drag a bit hard does give you a bit of a kick in the throat kind of not nice but in another way kind of satisfying.

Will order some just juice stuff to give that a try.

But overall am pleased with what I have, all for around the cost for 2 packs of 20 so a bargain

Can deffo see just from my brief use that it will make coming off the fags a lot easier.
