***The Vapers Lounge*** 3.0

Sadly i cant agree with you there Gilbert89 jackamoo's juices are rank its all preference of course but i find them to have an almost acidic nature to them when vaping plus they state they are ready to vape and steeped for at least 4 weeks.

Not my cup of tea but YMMV

I'm going to try a few other brands in the next few weeks. I'm after something as far away from the run of the mill sweet flavours.

Anything without menthol would be perfect as i cant stand it.

I've heard juices with cinnamon give you a good throat hit so I'm on the lookout for something of that nature.

Hi all,

New to vaping, using a Nautilus Mini and a Artery Nugget mod. For juices I tried a selection from Jackamoo. 1.8ohm atomiser at 11-13W. Whilst the flavours seem ok, I have nothing to compare to, so not sure if what I've got could be better / worse! I don't use it lots, just on the occasional evening after a drink or two.

One thing I have noticed is that I am getting a numb tongue sometimes, not sure if it relates to the vaping, although I have seen on another forum someone refer to "Vapers Tongue", so perhaps I am doing something wrong?! Do others get a numb / tingling tongues? Could it be that I am using it on too high / low a wattage?

Another question is what is steeping? Should I be doing something with the juice prior to using it to better enhance it?

Cheers!

Steeping is letting a juice "brew" for a bit before vaping jackamoos stuff should be pre steeped so good to go.

General rule of thumb is fruity stuff is good to go, desert types need some steeping and custards take as long as your prepared to wait

Does it feel like an acid taste in your mouth? Reason i ask is i have the same brand of juice and I'm experiencing something similar. Which flavour did you opt for from them?

How long does 18650 batteries take to charge fully. Only reason I ask is because I picked up 3 of them today and have had them on charge since 4pm and all 3 are still sitting on 2 bars.

I have the intellicharge i4 charger so not sure why it's taking such a long time. My 18350 batteries take about an hr to charge but then looking at the size...I'm not surprised lol.

They are AWT 18650 batteries 3.7v 3500 mah batteries. I don't think they are faulty as they came sealed in a box and have the official stickers on them ie you can scratch it to see the serial numbers.

If the 3500mah can be believed then they will take a long time to charge , if they are 3500mah then most probably only a 10amp battery. Not sure what is under the wrapper of the AWT but if the mah is correct then likely to be an LG MJ1 battery but never can really tell with rewraps.

Well that's what it says on the battery and the box I got them in. They seem to be rated at 35A it reading around, sometimes this can be exaggerated.

But from reading around they will take a good few hrs to charge, some say between 4-7 hrs. The charger I'm using seems to be ok, not running overly hot. It's the nitecore i4 charger.

Seems like one battery is almost charged fully, it's on the 3rd led.

My 3500mah Samsung 30Q's took forever on initial charge on a Nitecore D2 (500mah x2), think they were on for about 5ish hours, might have been closer to 6 iirc.

Subsequent charges are a lot faster though - I upgraded to a UM20 charger which is 1A x2 and that blitzes them in about an hour and a half I think.

Capacity(mah/1000)/charging current(a)= charging time in hours.

So a 3500mah battery from fully empty on a 0.5a charger will take 7 hours to charge.

Give or take a bit considering the charge it takes and the charging current wont be exact.

May sound harsh, do your self a favor and dispose of them (correctly of course!) and buy some LG/Samsung/Sony/Panasonic cells.

You have absolutely no idea whats under the wrap, regardless of what it says on the box they could easily be low amp cells.

Use this as a guide for buying batteries: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blog-entry/moochs-recommended-batteries.7593/

Yeah I suppose it is a bit like that. Tried Blue Slush, Green Slush, Scream and Ribena.

guys just picked up a TFV4 as it seems to come quite highly recommended on here but it seems to be quite far from what I am used to.

Triple head coils and tank seem to get quite hot when vaping?
Battery aint gonna last long (running two 3500mha 20a batterys in kbox 120)
seems very airy when pulling even with the holes barley open

is this what they are like usually?

I am only running it at 40w through fear of going through a hell of a lot of juice and batteries a day.

Just don't expect your coil to last longer than a couple days, they pack an absolute TON of sweetener in the Element range.

you were completely right about this, this stuff is destroying my coils. The flavour is one I really like so I'm looking for one the same flavour that isn't going to cost me more in coils than it does juice!

I've found that Jackamoojuice do one here:

http://www.jackamoojuice.com/product-page/5868a411-026c-499e-88e6-a9fe96de8d6a

That says "This is a clone of the Pink Lemonade from Elements" do you think that means it will have all of the same sweeteners in it too?

Or could it potentially be a MUCH cheaper juice with a similar taste that won't ruin all of my coils?

Has anyone tried it?

Thanks,

G

As you say flavour is subjective, when I first gave up smoking, I stuck to tobacco flavours and couldn't stand sweet vapes. Now nearly 2 years on, my staple juices are all sweet, creamy or fruity.
I find Jackamoo juices to be nice and the clones close to the originals. But you have nothing to really compare to, only smoking.
Over time your taste buds may change also.

If you end up going down the route of making your own juice, look at Capella Cinnamon Danish Swirl (V2), FlavourArt Apple Pie and FlavourArt Fresh Cream. Makes a really nice Apple Danish pastry type flavour.

I haven't tried any of the Jackamoo juice so I can't comment on their version. Saying that, the Pink Lemonade I made was Raspberry V2 (CAP), Lemon (TFA) and Sweet Tangerine (CAP).

I've just found another one on ELR (here) so I'll give that a mix tonight and post the results, this one looks a lot more promising.

Awesome :) You already got all the ingredients then?

I've emailed Jackamoo to ask them if there's is full of sweetener too.

Cheers,

Yep, I've got all the concentrates in the list.

It says to add Capella Super Sweet (which is essentially sucralose diluted in PG) so I'm not going to leave that out.

Jackamoo said they don't add sweetener to there's so it won't be exactly like Elements. Which also hopefully means it won't destroy my coils! :)

Will let you know!

I am only running it at 40w through fear of going through a hell of a lot of juice and batteries a day.

Tfv4 just seems to get hot naturally, much more than any other tank i've used, as long as your not cooking your juice its not really an issue.

Personally i find the q4's are the best coils compared to the tri/quad head coils, the multi heads add something strange to the flavour, the q4's give a nice clean vape.

Juice/battery usage comes with the territory of big tanks like these, entirely normal. Around 60w is the sweet spot for me but as with folk i've heard nuking subtanks with 50w i've also heard people dumping 100w plus into tfv4's, i think it might be the cold climate round here.

Its a naturally airy tank, guess it depends on your preference but you can adjust it right down, its a dtl tank so you basically breathe in through it. I reccommend setting the tip airflow slightly open to stop juice pooling in there and eventually giving you blobs of raw juice, or change to a standard delrin tip (again personally i quite like the included one)
