Well thanks entirely to this thread, I've just ordered a black
-Tornado Tank kit (menthol)
-30ml flavoured e-liquid diy
-10ml green cow flavour concentrate
-10ml Virginia Titan Fluid

£66.45 in total, not bad! With the concentrate and e-liquid do I simply mix the two in the appropriate quantity and bobs my uncle?

If you want just under 36mg strength. (I am presuming you got the 36mg strength?) I'd knock it down with some VG, Glycerin available from any pharmacy; think I got mine from Boots.
This calculator may come in handy http://www.todmuller.com/ejuice/ejuice.php. There's also a great little one available as an iphone app; again called eJuice.

Enjuice by far the best quality VG juice I have tried.
If you were going to go D.I.Y. Neat54 from Cloud9, is the only truly, tasteless, mixing base I have tried. Obviously that is a PG mixer, though at that strength, will make a great 50/50 PG/VG @ 24mg. I am open to suggestions, if someone finds another cheaper alternative, to a truly tasteless mixer :)
Great review of Neat54 here that echo's my sentiments entirely. Also good to watch if you are going to go the D.I.Y. route.

My only interest is with people using this as a path towards nicotine freedom. Here I'm not too convinced and moreover am a little dubious of companies claiming that this is a quit aid. A substitute yes .... a quit aid I would say no as it's too akin to real smoking.



Of course you have no desire of smoking ever again - You're getting a new cleaner nicotine hit :)

But place yourself in the situation where you can't access your e-cig for a couple of days. You'll be running down to the buy a pack of smokes in no time at all

I guess you dont smoke? -nicotine addiction is not really the issue, speaking personally I just want to stop smoking due to the fact it will more than likely contribute to my death - as far as I'm aware, nicotine in the the kinds of dosages we are talking about is relatively harmless. Nicotine is just as (or more) addictive than pretty much any other drug, both in physical and mental terms.

The vape thing gives a real opportunity to isolate that pattern

Tornado Tank kit arrived this morning, just had my first toot on it and I'm mildy impressed :)

The tobacco flavoured liquid that came with it is near enough to the real thing imo, but it doesn't have the bite - perhaps I'll need some naga liquid for that :p :)

Pleased with it so far, and it was ready just in time as I smoked the last of my tobacco this morning. :)
 
My clearomisers and new flavours turned up this morning too. So far the clearomiser is working fine, was a bit worried as loads of people have problems with them. Still breaking it in, but the vaper is much hotter than anything else I've used. I quite like that but I guess if I didn't I could fit some kind of mouth piece.

The Kamel flavour smells like sweet earl grey. It is a tobaccoy flavour that tastes a bit like carmel but isn't really sweet like it could be. It then has a bit of a bergamot taste, so that is why it smells like Earl Grey tea.
 
My Tornado Tank also arrived this morning.

First impressions are a bit crap tbh, get plenty of vapour & a slight throat hit with the supplied tobacco tanks but geez it tastes rank - a real lingering aftertaste of something chemical that is not pleasant. Gave it a good go on & off this afternoon & didn't fancy a real smoke so I guess the nicotine was getting through which is a plus.

Had a read around & it seems the atomiser is primed with some sort of pre charger & to give it a good blow out & re prime with a few dry pulls with the new cartridge on before use - so will give that a go with the other atomiser & the med strength in a bit.

Yeah I noticed the atomiser was oozing liquid before I'd even put the thing together so gave it a few dry blasts and I don't get the after taste so bad, and it's getting better as well. :)

Head goes light and dizzy after just a couple of toots on the high nicotine fluid for me. Good to know I couldn't have been that heavy a smoker before! :)
 
Got home tonight to fing gf has bought me the 500,000 scovilles naga chilli vapour juice!

Going to load up tonight and try :D

Stick with it, the good news is that you can try different juices out if you find the one you have doesn't float your boat. The primer is pretty rough so hopefully you're just working through that.
 
Right.. flavour time. My first tank is nearly empty, so in long preparation I'm going to order some flavoured juice. Not going to dabble with home mix until I've had this for a few weeks at least.

I will be having nicotine in it to start with at least, low amount.

I'm thinking blackcurrant, and maybe vanilla. Any brands recommended?
 
I have a 10ml of "very vanilla" from DV that I couldn't handle (way too sweet for me) if you want it? I've heard watermellon is good, that's next on my list of fruity ones.

For all the new guys, don't bother with mixing until you've had some time with the premades to work out what you like and what you want to achieve wih your mix.

EDIT: I caved and bought a 5 bottle mix of

God knows what state express and coffee will be like, but we'll find out. Also looking forwards to seeing what 18mg is like as I've always used 11mg

I'll find it too sweet as well I reckon, can't stand sweet inhalants - found this out whilst in Turkey chuffing on the hookah pipes.

18mg is what I stuck in mine (it's what they label as "high") and it was too much for me (20 a day smoker until this morning.)

I'm curious to know what green cow is, too... so I've just ordered this lot:

Well ignored all instructions and loaded it up neat :eek:

First few draws and the flavour started to come through.

Hmm, I thought, time for a proper 5 second draw. Roll on me feeling like somebody had ripped my throat out and 2 minutes of coughing and tears streaming from my eyes.

Gf laughing her head off and calling me mad and reminding me the instructions do state don't use neat unless you like the feeling of Police Mace spray.:(

I can see now why people use it as an additive to give other flavours the back of the throat hit.;)

The green cow and kola kick both have caffeine in them. When you get them they will be a thick gel. So thick you'll not be able to use them really. Stick them in a bag inside a cup of warm water to make them workable. The bag is to stop the label text melting. It is pretty hard to stop the concentrates caffeine turning into crystals. Once it is mixed you can thou.

DV melon is like a Gala melon not a water melon I'd say, nice and light. Not had cranberry and blackcurrant just tastes like you'd think.
 
Cool :) I was actually thinking of gala melons when reading it. Water melons don't really have a taste (imo) so that's a good thing. :)
