Make sure you get the normal ones and not the MEGA ones as they will only fit the MEGA atomisiers.

Occasionally you will need to buy new atomisiers as well depending on how heavy a smoker/vapor you are.

Then buy whatever juices you want (or buy flavours and unflavoured juice and make up your own)

I found the fag flavoured ones not to be to my liking. They weren't horrible but nothing like a fag tastes (which is good I suppose).

Having said that they are cheap (well they are just a bit of moulded plastic after all) and it is nice to have a few if you want to change flavour a lot. You'll also need to buy some Juice. I like the Black label for tobacco and mostly stick to the Decadent Vapour for other flavours.

It is a good idea to always have spare atomisers. Nothing worse than running out or having to use one that is hardly wicking or the coil isn't working well on.
For everyone talking about it paying for itself, while this can be true there is still up keep costs for Juice and atomisers. The atomisers can really cost you if you are a heavy user.

Thanks for the advice. Ok, so I buy the Tornado Tank EMPTY TANK CARTRIDGES - CLEAR. As for Decadent Vapours, what strength would you guys recommend - medium, high or super high? I'm coming from 20 B&H Gold a day.

As for atomisers, which ones are compatible for the Tornado? I want to buy enough to last me at least 3 months and to take advantage of the current 30% off on all items.

Just wanted to say that if you spend a lot of time next to a PC then bite this guy's hand off, seriously.

Passthrough vaping at 5v is awesome with 510 atomisers, and Gary's passthrough is a sturdy beast of a thing.
 
I'm just going to post some thoughts I have about nicotine strength seeing as there's a lot of questions about it;

Over the past couple years it seems the default baseline for strength of liquid for a 20/day smoker is 18mg. This can change slightly for those who smoke particularly strong cigs or much lighter ones. However with vaping your intake rate can vary a lot due to being able to intake more often/in places you wouldn't normally be able to and that it doesn't 'run out' (A cig lasts ~5 minutes maybe, you might find yourself vaping for 20).

I know lots of people who change the strength liquid they vape throughout the day; 36mg in the morning, 18mg during the day, 11mg in the evening and 18mg/36mg right before bed.

I'm a very heavy smoker, even now (~40+ before, ~10 now with the exception of nights out when that increases) and when i'm at home my Tank barely leaves my mouth. I'm currently vaping 11mg and probably going to drop that to 8mg on my next batch order for that reason.

I would say for those of you who are 20/day, go for the 18mg to begin with but try and pay attention to how much you use it. If you think it's more than usual try getting a 14mg or 11mg next time. If you don't buy an obscure flavour with that if you find it's not doing it for you there's almost certainly people willing to trade.
 
That battery will last a whole day of heavy vaping. It can last 2 or more days if you can't or are to busy to vape a lot.

I never wanted to quit really I liked smoking. It was the health (we know vaping is better but not how safe really) and smell problems I wanted to fix. If you happen to post on vaping forums they often have rules not to talk about using it to quit. They are worried about them being re-classified as nicotine replacement therapy. If that happens it becomes complex and most of the current vendors would have to stop selling.

thats two i have now, but im serious about quitting smokes so money is not really a worry. Had one smoke in the morning and vaped happily all day, hoping this tank with the 900m battery will last, as the nucig battery lasted from 9am to 2pm!

You'll be much happier with it. I actually get 2 days of vaping out of mine, but I can see how a heavy vaper (sat at a desk all day etc) might get through it in one. I think you'll find you don't want to quit it ;) Hell, if you do pass it on to the next guy.
 
Got confirmation that my TW Tornado Tank will be with me tomorrow. Seems like there are a few of us getting the same kit, so will be interesting to see the results.

Personally, I am a 20 a day L&B smoker of 20 years - keen to cut down for obvious reasons. Although quitting completely is unlikely it might give me the start on that road I need.

Slightly sceptical - but we will see!!

I want to give up smoking and eventually nicotine by lowering the levels.

I have tried patches and tablets but no joy as I just need something to do with my hands when I;m bored - more habit really.

SO I see this as a great way. I am currently getting my nicotine fix but in the meantime I have had only 2 fags since Saturday and feel like I don't them.

Vaping has got to be better than smoking 30 fags per day and eventaully (hopefully) I will end up just vaping without nicotine.

I can;t see what your issue is here?
 
Good investment for cleaning your atties is an ultrasonic cleaner, within the 60-70khz range. Been rejuvenating my LR 510's for a few months since getting one and vaping like new once they've been in for 9-10 minutes, pre-soak them overnight in vodka first mind, for best overall results.

Awesome dude, best bit is there's always zero nic juice for those who want to quit the nicotine as well. I started on 11mg and I'm tempted to go up to 18 now I've gotten used to it and want a bit more throat hit.

No issue at all - I'm not having a dig :p

It's great that you're off the analogs which is a positive step in the right direction. If I did have a concern it would that one could potentially lose sight of the goal of being nicotine free and calmly slip in to vaping on a perm basis.

For me I gave up for 12 weeks from march, relapsed for 2 weeks and am now once again smokefree coming up to 5 days - Currently getting my nicotine fix via both patches and microtabs but am going to try a more rapid detox this time.
