I can confirm btw, that DV Lotus Flower is bloody delicious. I can't describe it, except that it tastes like you might imagine a lotus flower to taste, in a tasty way. Sort of delicate and sweet, but in a non-artificial way. It's really nice anyway :)

Got it, thanks very much. Not sure about the Vanilla im still trying, if i dont like it ill do what you said and offer it back up. The Tabs were quite nice.

Also, it takes a bit to get through the primer so just keep going until you start getting some vapour and throat hit

ok just tried it and i am impressed. i ordered tobacco flavour but there's a definite sweetness to it and it's nice. i have 7 atomised tank chargers in the pack will see how long they last. can the chargers be purchased pre-filled like the ones i have, i don't want to fill them up myself with the droplet fitment that i;ve seen that comes with the water, i can see me spilling it everywhere.

Yesterday I ordered a load of flavours direct from the Perfumers Apprentice in U.S. Mainly flavours for my girlfriend, as she wants to quit smoking for vaping; though I chucked a couple in for me. :D

i'm noticing a chemical inbalance already and i haven't used it much. i had trouble getting off to sleep last night and i've woken up very spritely this morning. i believe this is a good thing and i kind of expected it but i can't put it down to anything else other than the change, unless it is completely unrelated.
 
Im not sure what the ratio is between one tank of juice and one ciggy. But i do remember reading up on giving up smoking and it mentions sleep loss and sweating. Kinda like going cold turkey. But without knowing the whole ratio thing then i wouldnt know if it was because of the increase of nictoine or decrease.

What you dont get with using ecigs rather then just giving up completly is the sence of euphoria.

I vape and enjoy it however we need to remember that we are the testing mice for this product and we wont know what we are damaging/changing for some time. Information is what separates us to the first tobacco smokers who had no idea what a issue this would be in the future. We can base our information on what is provided and with this being new information and especially all the new people who are trying out vaping without doing research on this forum i think its more then valid.

EDIT: This is also new information, so more information makes a more formal choice and I think its worth knowing. I also happily support vaping and im sure i have seen your username somewhere but might be wrong but something is thinking i have seen it.

They used a Marlboro as a control though which I thought was a bit cute - I would rather see a medium cig (or indeed a selection of brands) used as control for seperate tests... but still it's very interesting...

What would be really good would be some independant tests, as an eLiquid company has a vested interest in making the product look as good as possible ie: by comparing a strong cig to a relatively weak ecig, but even with this "biased" data, the figures look pretty much in favor of ecigs.

That said, Ive not made any juice from scratch yet, just bought pre made
12mg juice - is 2% flavoring(as in the test) a normal ammount, as it doesnt sound like much..
 
I think 1 tank (1-1.1ml) of 18mg juice is about average 5 cigarettes (I asked on a vaping forum), maybe more for "light" or "silvers". It's very hard to gauge, absorption of nicotine from the vapor is not a known value and varies from person to person. I've heard between 10 and 40%

I've moved from 18 to 11mg as an all day vape, I plan on staying at this for a few months and then going to 8mg, and limiting the time I vape, then try and completely quit. I have a feeling it will be much easier now I haven't even desired a real cigarette for over a month.

Getting my teeth properly cleaned/whitened in September, they have already become much more normal looking. As a side effect I can now taste my breath more! And I can't stand the curry I used to get on a Friday evening, I've had to change to a less spicy dish :p

Haha, ive noticed this too - I used to put liberal ammounts of chilli on my pizza etc, I cant tollerate nearly as much now!
The thing that really got to me was - I was walking past a tree the other day, and I could smell the tree (or its pollen or whatever) really strongly, that really had an impact on me.

When I first started vaping, I found 18mg too strong, and 12mg not quite strong enough and so I elected to stay on 12mg, although Im vaping a lot to make up for it...

Im gonna stay on 12mg untill im more used to it - and switch from tobacco flavour to fruit during this time, ive got some blueberry which is quite nice, not too sickly, so im alternating between that and tobacco flavour at the moment.
 
This thread has got me seriously thinking. One of my colleagues brought a cheap and nasty chinese ecig into work the other day, which I borrowed for the day (consumable one shot cartridges). It didn't give enough vapour out or give me the enough of a throat hit for my tastes, but the nicotine hit was definitely there.

I'm a 20-30 a day rollie smoker at the moment, and the prospect of vaping really appeals to me, from both a financial view, and with a view to giving up. Totally Wicked is about 35 minutes drive for me, so I'm thinking about heading over there on Monday to have a 'play' and try some of the flavours out, but a little 'independent' advice would be appreciated.

I don't want to spend too much as an initial outlay, but I guess I'd like to make sure that I'm stocked up on juice and bits for at least a month (which presumably will still be less than fags/baccy). I've been trawling their site, and I like the look of the 510 XL clearomisers and a couple of batteries rather than a starter kit, but I guess the decision will be made in the shop.

How much juice would you recommend buying to last 4 weeks or so? Presumably I'll be wanting 12-18mg strength?

Any other pro tips?

I think you are thinking along the correct lines - it may be more economical to buy a starter kit of some description and then a few extras to keep you running, such as a spare battery and some juice - 20ml or 30ml is a good size juice bottle, I found- will last you about 1 month depending, but you can easily see when its getting low giving you time to order some more without running dry.

If you smoke 20+ a day you will absolutley need more than one battery, so one can be on charge whilst one is in use.

Once you get a feel for it you will become quite obvious how often you will need to replace parts and you will have a much better idea of how much juice you need.

Stregnth wise, I came off smoking 20 L&B a day, and found 18mg a little strong, and 12mg a little weak.

EDIT - Im still on my origional 5 cartomizers and 2 batteries, but I have noticed a drop in performance in both, so im probably going to get another battery and a 5 pack of clearomizers in the next month.
