I understand the tribal nature in products as i mainly come from a car background, always been in the pc area but only really saw the vicousness that we see now in cars, rice eater vs euro etc. For me i got a vega 64 and im gonna watercool the thing, voltage isnt something that concerns me, i remember running tripple 780s and everyone spawning insane multi gpu setups that guzzled voltage like no tommorow. Now yes vega has its faults, it is late to the party but in no way is it a bad card.
I dont care if it can do 300fps, i care that it can feed my monitors refresh rate and push all the bells and whisltes. But more i care that when its doing all that, that it does it smoothly. And this point scoring seems tobe fashioned at amd a lot, ryzen came out and it was boo, down with ryzen but look at it now. We can take a list of all the stuff that isnt enabled yet on vega and im with others when i say these things should be enabled right now and working. That features like primitive discarding, rapid packed math and hbcc should be ready for the release and amd fell down on that, but they will be enabled.
And lets be brutal, when your insulting someone for there purchase is just a way to justify your own purchases to make you feel better.
