US: The Walking Dead Season 3 (contains spoilers)

First episode was very good, and very gory (more so than usual I felt), but one thing confusing a friend and myself, was Andrea being ill. Have we forgotten something from the last season or missed something in this seasons first episode?

I didn't understand that either - hopefully it is something they will go back into in a future episode, but it really didn't make any sense! There was nothing that I remembered from the end of season 2.

I do like the new zombies though (the armoured zombies)!

Yup, there is at least 7-8 months gap going by Laurie and the baby. Guessing whatever happens with the baby will happen this season to, no way they will/can drag it out for another season.

I'm expecting there to be flashbacks! Well I hope there is.

Reminded me of L4D2 :p

Was a very good episode.

It was too obvious with Herschel though.
As soon as I saw the set up, you just knew it was going to happen.

Ep1 of the new season was as expected, they featured loads of zombies which means the next few episodes will have significantly less if any, the same thing happend with the soap-opera-esque season 2.

Episode 2 was superb! My favourite episode after the tank one in season 1. The standoff between Rick and that prisoner was perfect, you could just sense that they wanted to kill eachother, and I was glad Rick actually did it. I was afraid he was going to pussy out.

It was really funny when the prisoners first charged the zombies and tried to kill them like humans, and the others looked at eachother like "WTF?" :D

So they have diverged from the comic, as expected. I though from the first episode that it was keeping more in-line, but I suppose since they don't have the twin girls they can't use that, and they don't seem to be going down the michonne and the big black dude line, since they killed him. (unless that little black guy is meant to be him)
They sped up the whole killing that mental prisoner dude, which I'm glad about, they could have dragged that out like the shane storyline and been boring. (although that means there wont be a big fight in the courtyard :d )

The southern prisoner with the beard (I can't remember there names) was a big old guy in the novels, he seems a bit wimpy.

It's like "LEEEEROY JENKINS!"

The "Leeerooooy Jenkins" scene (above) was awesome, as was Rick's stare-down with the 'boss-man' prisoner. I was glad to see that Rick put an end to him quickly (it really did need to be done), but I'm a little surprised that he shut the other prisoner out to be eaten alive. Another great episode...

Now that the prison is "secure", and Hershel is "stable", I expect that the next episode will focus on Michonne and Woodbury? I look forward to it!

Great episode!

That scene where the prisoners first charged the zombies was great and Rick's, Daryl's etc. reaction to it "WTF?!?!" was hilarious :D

Loving how Rick has turned out so far this season, real bad ass now.

I thought Hershel was going to die as in the last episode he seemed like he was dead from the shock/pain once Rick cut his leg of, but I am so glad that he didn't :) Although he really should have died, given the amount of blood that he would have lost and the shock/pain from it especially given his age :p

Episode 3 Preview:

EDIT:

One scene, which really annoyed me was Rick chasing after the prisoner. That has to be the worse inconsistency in this show so far :p

Just like the ammo situation, goes on about staying together, don't separate etc. yet he goes running after a prisoner in parts of the prison that he has never explored before, no idea what is around the corner...........

I enjoyed the bit when Rick gave his speech about how important it was to stay in formation and not break rank, only then to chase after someone himself a couple of scenes later, breaking rank and running off :D

Why the hell did those ladies lay on him and and even give him the breath of life knowing full well he could turn into a zombie as soon as he died, they also chained one hand but i didn't see the other?.

There are a number of stupid errors appearing in this series
