US: The Walking Dead Season 3 (contains spoilers)

Well all they have done over the last year is kill zombies. So it would only be a matter of time before you get perfect head shots. But he could miss a shot now and again to add to realism. But in terms of realism i think they do a good job of not leaving plot holes all over the place. Compared to other series the is very good in that regard.

Any idea why the governor had all the zombie heads? is he just a bit nuts or what?

I like how they have added this new group should keep it fresh. I wonder what we have in store for next season.

I wish people would stop going on about headshots. These aren't normal people they're Rick's group. They're almost superheros to some extent.

Nobody in the world can get 100% headshots with a silenced pistol at 5 meters, it's obvious this is just how the show is being done. Same as the bloodbath scene in Kill Bill 1.

I don't get the cliffhanger.

Show Daryl about to be executed by the mob, cue menacing shot of governers face, two-face style.

Then in the next episode teaser, show footage of Daryl running through some forested area.

Kinda big spoiler that he makes it out, daft.

+1

Going by the shows history, they aren't afraid to kill off main characters and I genuinely did not know what the outcome would be of that final scene... until a few seconds later when they showed the teaser and he's running through the forest. STUPID.

How the hell did Rick not get shot when he stood out in the open and spotted Shane?

Some of the CGI was awful with the gunfire aswell.

Oh and that Tyresse(?) guy, He would rather smash that womans face with a hammer then let Carl shoot her in the head?

Wut?

Why wouldn't Maggie just shoot Merle immediately when she got the gun? That made no sense - Merle kidnapped them, beat Glen and threw a zombie in with him, she should have had zero hesitation in pulling the trigger. She had just stabbed some random guy in the throat!

Well he had his knife to Glenns throat. Killing Merle might have had negative consequences.

I think it was just because they didn't want to kill Merle yet. In a realistic situation she would have shot him as soon as she got the gun, she wouldn't have shouted stop as he was lunging at Glen and hope he heard her and listened.

Michonne's fight was also dumb - she should have had no problem killing the Governor since she had her sword and had been killing loads of zombies lunging at her, so he should have been no different. If she was smart she would have just thrown the zombie girl at him and as he tried to stop her biting him Michonne could have killed him.

And how the Hell did Darryl get caught? The last I remember seeing him was him firing the AK-47 looking gun at them. Why would anyone take him prisoner, especially when the Governor specifically told them not to take any prisoners? He said something like "Don't try to be a hero and take any prisoners, shoot to kill.". I believe this was because he didn't want Andrea finding out about him kidnapping Glen and Maggie.

And it wasn't clear how that woman at the prison died - she got bitten on the arm and ended up dying, which then goes back to them implying the zombie bite kills (even though it's supposed to just cause an infection which kills due to bacteria, and that wouldn't have killed her so quickly). I assume it was just due to shock, but they should have just made her die from blood loss, with a character exclaiming they can't stop the bleeding.

I think you are looking into all of this a bit too much now :p Just sit back and enjoy the show.

Regarding your points:

- The governor was very close to Michonne when she was holding the girl and as soon as Michonne stuck the katana in the girl, the governor moved towards Michonne straight away thus Michonne didn't have a chance to pull the katana out. A human being is a lot faster than a rotten dead corpse.

- Maggie only got the gun as soon as Merle had Glenn on the ground with his knife against his throat, too much of a risk to take

- Daryl was all by himself and was facing like 6-10 people, plus there was a lot of smoke so it would have been very possible for someone to have sneaked up behind him and knocked him out. True about what the Governor said, but they did kill like 3-4 of their people so probably wanted him alive after that in order to torture him.

- the women could have died (getting bit kills, everyone is already infected regardless of if they are bitten. Could be different for everyone, some people won't be able to hold out for as long as what T-dog, Jim etc. did, a bit like the rate it takes for someone to come back from the dead, could be minutes or hours) or as you said, just passed out from the shock or/and pain or/and loss of blood.

I didn't watch the last 2 episodes because it was getting a bit daft, and I finally watched them today.

Once again, the whole episode was a filler, and the end was the only decent part.

Am I the only one who is pleased that there is a war?

Also, why do people just like to kill? If they never killed a should, the country would be full of people, then they can kill off the rest of the zombies, reproduce, and they beat the apocalypse.

Or just cath a helicopter and leave, like L4D :D

felt pretty much the same

not really interested in smug git or his town its been milked for a few episodes maybe it will be worth it and there will probably be a big battle between them at prision or something

For all the people who keep spouting 'filler' at anything that isn't action packed or scenes they simply do not like ... I hope you realise that all those good actions bits would simply become mindless action if we didn't have all that filler. Season 2 definitely had lots of unecessary filler, but S3 has been pretty much spot on if you ask me.

Completely agree. The pace of this season has been perfect, far better than season 1 and 2. You want to see true "filler" episodes, watch a few seasons of smallville :p

Smallville... my greatest guilty pleasure. 5 episodes of utter tripe, for 5 minutes of awesome.

I sat and thought about it the other night, how peeved I was at in the end. But then I thought, Christ I got some really good moments out of it, and in all honesty, those writers were really ballsy for a TV show. JLA hints, JSA, Martian Manhunter, Doomsday, Darkseid, Zod, brainiac, Braniac 5 episode (My favourite).

It was ****, and it's not worth anybodies time wading through all 10 seasons for the 5 minutes now and then, but watching it 40 minutes, once a week, I enjoyed the anticipation every week before the let down :p
