US: The Walking Dead Season 3 (contains spoilers)

a couple of eps ago when the guvnor got the van to smash through the gates full of zombies, what happened to the driver?

i thought he/she ran into the prison.

Really enjoyed the latest episode, not much action but the storyline was much better than in recent weeks!

This. It's what the shows been missing for a while - decent story line. Action isn't all it's cracked up to be, all it does is disguise the soap opera behind the scenes, when there isn't the action we see the soap opera again which is just terrible. Condense the characters, give some meaning to their actions and include some intense moments and you've got a cracking zombie show.

Yeah, the last episode was the first good one in a while.

Something actually happened (unlike the last few) - if they can keep the same pace moving forward I think the show will be good, but I'd be cautious to predict it's future if they go back to the old snail pace.

Haven't even bothered to download the last couple of episodes, the show sucks.

It has no substance and too many inconsistencies, and really really BORING characters.

There are always zombies hanging on the prison fence. Yet when Ricks lying in the grass engaging in a gun fight there's not one zombie in sight of him. Didn't previous episodes explain zombies are attracted to noise?

Why waste 100s of rounds of ammunition, and THEN send in a van full of zombies?

Why the **** would a prison CO help out some murderers and rapists by giving them his gun?

I could go on. The finale of season 2 for instance. People quoted it as 'awesome'. All I saw was a bunch of civilians doing drive-bys on zombies across a bumpy field landing perfect head-shots all the way. Mmmkay.

If it wasn't for such a zombie fad at the moment, this show would've been canned long ago.

Characters are boring in your opinion.

What TV show, film etc. doesn't have inconsistencies?

Yes there are zombies hanging around the fence but they aren't covering every single area and he did encounter zombies, not remember part where he ran out of ammo and then had like 10 zombies around him and would have been bitten if it weren't for Daryl and Merle......

Emm, have you been paying any attention to this show? That is the governors sick way of giving them a warning and his way of revenge, he has the ammo to waste (after all we have seen him killing the soldiers and taking their vans, jeaps, which were probably full of ammo).

Eh? What are you talking about again? Oscar and Axel? Neither were rapists or murderers.... both put in prison for robbery. At no point did Rick etc. give the two other prisoners any guns at all.

I will agree with you on the final episode of season 2 though.

Again, all in your opinion, clearly the show is doing well otherwise it wouldn't have such high ratings and viewers, zombies really aren't that popular these days either, in fact they haven't been for quite some time, so the show must be doing something right.

Stick to other shows as clearly this show isn't for you :)

Yeah I've been watching the show, vaguely.

I can overlook the governors attack, yes that is something he would do. I cannot overlook Rick being a douche though. He just raided their town, killing a few of their folks, and didn't anticipate a possible counter-attack? It's annoying. He's been at the helm of this for quite some time now and he still acts like a noob.

And there's been many scenes previously where some of Rick's posse are walking alongside the interior of the prison fence, and I'd be hard pressed to find one scene where there isn't a couple of zombies clinging to it. Soon as that gunfight erupted and I saw Rick in the grass at the exterior of the fence, my first thought - where have all the zombies gone? Oh wait hang on. After all that gunfire, one zombie, a single zombie, all on his todd, comes out the forest and heads for the governor. Right..

Regarding the prisoners. There was 5 in total. Tomas, (if memory serves correct) explained he obtained the pistol through a prison guard who gave it to him to protect the others. Explain to me, in what world, in the mist of a zombie apocalypse, why you would give your firearm to a bunch of convicts? It's asinine.

Of course, just my opinion. However just because it's got high rating and what not, doesn't mean I'm wrong. BB and GoT also have high ratings but you wouldn't see me complaining about them :)

Given Rick's mental state at the time (which is understandable given everything that has happened), I don't think a counter attack was on his mind let alone if it even bothered him (he has even really bothered with the baby), remember when the group were having a meeting in the prison as to what they can do after the governor made his move, he was about to go back outside again to look for Lori and Hershel shouted "get back here!" and that was straight after the attack too. Besides, it seems like that part is over now and will be back to the true Rick for the next episode.

The only area of the scene that we seem to see the most is around the entrance to the prison, he was near the far end (where they first broke in). And when he was first walking around there (long before the prisoner attacked), there were hardly any zombies in sight so perhaps they just moved on...... Yes, there should have been more zombies around though.

Ah that part! Yes I agree on that it was stupid.

Of course you are free to not like the show, but that doesn't mean what you think applies to the show as fact (that is how your post came across anyway)

Ask yourself this, why wouldn't he?

He was locking them up in a canteen and from what I remember of the dialogue, it alluded that the screw had built up a rapport with the prisoners and was locking them away in the canteen whilst the prison was being over run, he gave them a gun to protect themselves as everyone else was getting the hell out of there.

The prison got overrun and they were left locked in the canteen, so esentially, the PO saved their lives.

Good point, just rewatched that part and he did say something along those lines.

That is one thing that I would love to see more of, flashbacks as to when the whole zombie thing started, unfortunately we won't get many more, if any as they said they didn't want to do that and rather concentrate on the present :(

Theres a few webisodes about.

Like the bike Woman (well half of) that Rick went back and put down after Morgan had patched him up. That's a good one.

Episode was dragged out and pretty much as expected. The rest of the season should hopefully be good.

Last night's was dragged out I'd agree, but probably quite an important episode in the build up to the season finale.

I think Rick had to see for himself exactly what kind of person the Governor is. He would try and wipe them out no matter what, so war is the only option.

I liked how we saw a bit of character development on Milton and Martinez. The common ground stuff with Hershel and Daryl respectively was cool to see - I reckon at the end of all this one (if not both) could join Rick's group.

+1 to that! Loved that part :)
