US: **The Walking Dead Season 9 - Contains Spoilers - No future content to be discussed **

I gave up at the end of season 7, which I am a bit sore about because up until that point it was absolutely compulsory viewing for me.

My issue is that they've spent so much time following the group, how they survive and how they confront enemies, that there really is nothing left to do with them. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing what is happening in the wider world, like is this only in their locale, or is it continent-wide or even world-wide? Is there any system of government left in place? Maybe some research into the cause and potential cure?

If there's not even a hint of resolution, or what's going on outside of their little group, then I really can't see the point in them continuing to make the show. We had an amazing 'first act', have been plodding along for years in the increasingly tedious 'second act', and are now desperate for the 'final act'. It'll just gradually fade as the viewers and budget continue to decline, and will eventually die with little ceremony and no conclusion.

This whole show is one big mess, we've got Rick trying to keep everyone alive yet saying people who step out of line should be punished but doesn't kill someone who has a knife to someone's throat, you've then got Maggie saying everyone deserves a chance to survive yet walks away and let's someone execute another member of the group they are trying so hard to keep together, their morals are all over the place..

One episode killing is the worst thing ever but the next episode they don't even bat an eyelid

I think that's kind of the point, it's been about a battle with humanity and their own morals for some time now.

I watched "28 Days Later" the other day and thought to myself that's what TWD desperately needs, Zombies that run fast and are super aggressive and strong. It'd be easy to write into the script about a mutation.

They don't do it well enough though they're just boring most people to tears.

God damn it, if that's the way they've decided to end it then this sums it up well
Literally bites a mans throat out. Been caught behind enemy lines countless times. Gets killed by a horse.

yeh that can't be the way it goes for him almost as hilarious as the zombies falling into the pit though would be a perfect time for a helicopter to make a proper appearance but even so, he's got a reinforcement pole through him so yeh

If he doesn’t get rescued by the helicopter next week and taken away to come back in a few seasons time I’ll literally weep at the shambles of the entire situation.

I don't see how the helicopter could possibly rescue him. When the camera panned out at the end two large groups of zombies walkers were like 10' away from him. Then again, it is TWD, so the pilot will probably pull a...

He gets off that rebar and goes for a walk, they’ve shown that in the preview already...

I don't see how he can get the leverage to pull himself off that spike in time when the walkers are 20ft away..

It's funny because whenever someone is in danger, the walkers are really slow but when they need to make the story progress with silly ideas, the walkers walk almost double the speed :p

Maggy (on horseback) will save the day.

Walkers will ignore Rick because #superRick

Rick will pull himself off spike

Arnie emerges and shouts '"ead for da choppaaaa"

Helicopter saves the day.

I literally laughed at him falling off the horse on to the only rubble in the vicinity with the walker's ages away. It was so completely contrived it was ridiculous.

It makes me laugh that although they've suddenly run out of petrol and cars and need horses they still have plenty of batteries for their walky talkies.

I vaguely recall them saying something about solar powered walkies and thinking "eh? WTF?" But I may have misheard.
Thought it was also odd for Rick to get bucked off by the horse which was in a panic, then for the camera to pan out and the horse was 6 feet away. **** horse!
