The Walking Dead thread

I was more surprised to see that Carver was voiced by Micheal Madsen. Didnt hear it myself. Also good shout for wherever noticed bonnie from the pre season DLC. Had to go back and replay that one myself

Sweet, I kind of wish I didn't start season two though. I really hate the wait, main reason I haven't bought their other one yet.

Just finished, wow that was a fantastic episode.
I watched Kenny kill Carver which was brutal as hell and I cut off Sarita's arm.

Snap.

Good episode.

Kenny mocking Duck and how Dumb he was, always running round in circles - ROFL

I feel less protective of Clem now, my Clem, regardless of her age has been through a lot of **** and there is no point "pretending" anymore when she is encountering such ******** all the time. She still has her morals though.

Why do all the stupid people live in this game. Sarah is annoying as hell. Pinky Swear, not knowing when to **** up. I'm glad her Dad Bitch slapped her. She is a liability.

I still feel Season One was magical compared to Season Two.

I find Sarah rather annoying as well but it's not really her fault, I think it's her Dad that is to blame. He continuously tried to shroud her from the reality of the world they live in, not exposing her to what the world is really like post zombie breakout. That's resulted in her being weak and not really able to make decisions for herself. Clem had to survive as an equal to adults, she understood what was really happening, resulting in a character that is strong and is able to survive with others and probably on her own for a lot longer than most would at her age.

I feel like I can't wait 2 months between episodes. So I may just have to hold on for 4 months then play all 5, assuming it is just a 5 episode season.

Thankfully this season starting to kick off after a slow start

Heres my choices

Seems im one of the few who has little time for Sarah, i left her by herself after she got a smack as i figured she could use some toughening up. Having seen other playthroughs im not sure it makes a difference to the guy getting thrown off the roof or not.

I also stayed to watch carver get killed, was surprised by how graphic it was but felt its in line with my thoughts of clem having to grow up and shes already seen enough that she can cope.

Still love the little easter eggs they leave back to 400 days, when i was heading up to meet carver in the office earlier i walked past the hippie guy from 400 days who i had been chicken with in his episode and drove away in his car leaving the other guy to die. Was funny seeing him being a tough guy at the mall

I realise why she is like that, doesn't stop here from being annoying though. Because of her Reggie died and he was a cool character :(

I don't think it's all Sarah's fault, Carver would have killed Reggie eventually. He sees people like Reggie as weak and a liability, In his office he tells Clementine that emotionally strong people like him an her need to make sacrifices in order to survive e.g. survival of the fittest.

I told Carver that i wasn't like him, He said that we are more alike then we think which i slightly agree with, Clementine has potential to be a great leader but if given the choice i will never let her be a ruthless as Carver. I have a feeling that Telltale will give us a choice whether or not to be ruthless like him by giving us the option to kill Sarah due to her weakness.

something wrong season 1 episode 5 was short and now mostly all episodes are short less then 1 hour to complete also not the best episode.

The episodes are shorter, lots of people are unhappy with this on the Telltale forums.

Telltale now want to make their games 90 minuets long because "our games are best experienced when played in one sitting." which most people think is nonsense.

Here is an actual quite from a Telltale staff member on their official forums

I think from a "lines of dialog per episode" basis, we have a goal we try to meet per episode, that I believe is what was similar to season 1. As many people on the forums have pointed out, probably having less hubs where you go around and talk to people at your own pace detracts from how long you spend playing the game. But I think from a story standpoint, it hasn't made as much sense in season 2 so far to have many hubs where you casually walk around and talk to people.

Also, I forget which series we started this one (I've worked on way too many), but it was decided a few years back that about 90 minutes was our goal for game play length - mostly because we feel like our games are best experienced when played in one sitting.

I am really enjoying this season but the removal of hubs has really effected the game length.

It does seem to becoming less of a game and more of an interactive comic.

If what they say is true... one sitting every 6 weeks is ********.

Also, to charge nearly £20 for the gametime they offer is too much.

Season 1 was worth every penny, season 2 at full price, not so sure.

The game needs to be 1 sitting, they're only short episodes, completing an episode in 2 sittings is disjointed and doesn't feel right at all, that said, playing it in 5 episodes at 6 weeks intervals ruins it too :p

But he's right, it's the lack of hubs that has made the episodes seem shorter.

The game's always been an interactive comic, but beforehand you had some freedom to "explore"

I'm no more impressed or disappointed with this than I was Season 1 to be honest, it's more of the same. I do however think it should be a flat £15.00, not £20.00

Season two is almost as pathetic as 400 days length wise. I didn't mind the length in Season One and I never felt disjointed continuing the story the next day. In fact I used to look forward getting back from Work and finishing it of. There is much more value for money in Season One - there is no denying that.

TWD was always an interactive comic and I never saw it as a game. One of the things Season One did right was finding a great balance with the hubs. It gave an emotional attachment to each character and gave their back story making decision making harder.

In Season Two I feel like they've missed a trick or purposely scaled back the content by adding "a few months/years later" as a get out clause as one prime example.

Another one here griping about the length. Given we have to wait months between each episode, they should at least take more than an hour to do.
