The WANT thread!

A Noble M600.

Oh how I want a Noble M600.

Best gearbox, best Volvo engine, best power to weight ratio, best styling, best lack of driver aids, best made in the UK, best cause for needing life insurance.

Best car.

BMW E34 M5. Blue with silver trim and throwing star alloys.

Just fell in love with them when I had my first e34. It's such an amazing main colour and the silver edging just makes it look a little bit special. Also, it's an M5! Having driven another one on track it was suitably good fun :)
Just a little too old for a daily, and I have a classic car and bike and no more space. Also minters are silly money and I would want it to be perfect!

BMW 850 csi
Much the same as above, I think you struggle to find a better looking car (non super/hypercar) on the planet
Amazing engine and enough power/noise to keep me interested.
Again, just silly money for a good one, if you can find one still!

Fifth gen 2.2 prelude with genuine motegi kit.
Had one of these and it was great fun, shouty loud and awesome handling.
Try finding me one with full leather/manual/blue and with the motegi and original alloys and I will probably buy it and stick it on my driveway as a long term project :D

this is too hard tbh! but right now on the "Want" list but not possible at this moment list are -;

840
lexus ISF
BMW E92 M3

840 -;

right now, not going to be paying that much insurance, but it is totally a car on my to-own list, the looks, the interior etc is just like nothing else IMO. And I'm sure they're going to blow up in price very soon, maybe in a year or two? with little miles that I do, running costs don't really bother me.

Lexus ISF -;

just a JAP hyper saloon that is quite rare and just so understated, want one bad! it doesn't make sense, I don't need that power etc but it's just something that tickles me and wants to sit outside my house!

E92 -;

while I love them to bits I'd want a very well sorted one and tbh they're a bit too common for my liking.. but the sound, the engine, the styling etc is all up my road and maybe in a year or two it will be on my list of potential cars.

I can think of only one car that I would love to own, but probably never would even if I could afford to buy one. A mint road going McLaren F1. For me that is the greatest car in the world.

630 horsepower
1100 kg
16 MPG 25 on a run.
Happy to sit in traffic and seats three with luggage.

If we're discussing cars that we can afford but probably shouldn't, then mine would be either the 996 911 or the E46 M3, I absolutely love them and have lusted after one for many years.

Certainly would've been cheaper than the M135i (in terms of purchase price) that I've just bought but I wanted something modern with (almost) no worries of it not starting or throwing a big bill. If I'd have been able to give up things like the Pro Nav and a newer generation car, I'd have probably gone for one.

My requirements probably thwarted me from buying the E46 in all fairness, I wanted a manual coupe facelift in Estoril blue with black heated leather and less than 80k on the clock. When these cars did (rarely) come up, they were normally very expensive. Hence the reason of not buying one in the first place.

Saying that for awhile the M135i seemed like a car that I desired but couldn't quite reach for until recently, so I'm currently scratching that itch!

But yeah, they remain one of the most desirable cars for me, but not as a daily motor.

thought it was a realistic want thread rather than "dream" all would be sitting in p1's then ;)

Yep, this. It was also meant to be a thread where folks can post actual ads for cars, things you bump in to surfing the net and think "oooooh errrr missus" but can't for whatever reason.

Still, loads of great posts here and tons of very sexy metal (A Radical has been so far off my radar I'd forgotten they even exist) so I'd say it's a fun thread regardless.
