Abbesse Sauvignon Blanc 2019 x2
Duck 'n' Pheasant Sauvignon Blanc Magnum + 2 tumblers

Total: £84.70 delivered

I got the mixed case for about £50 delivered! No idea if it's considered good wine, but for the price per bottle it's a bargain.

The red Magnum bottle is 14.5%, better not drink that one alone in an evening :D

I threw in some extra because... Greedy haha. I also ordered a box from Virgin wines. That was also a bargain. Cancelled my "wine bank" immediately though, looks like a bit of a swizz if you ask me.

I just found a bottle of Chateau Leoville Barton from 1995 in the back of a cupboard. It hasn't been stored correctly and has been there for years, seems to be bloody pricey as well, probably ruined now.

Agreed! It's no Latour, so get yourself something nice on the go and pop it open. I'd decant early morning and give it the day to open though. Will make the world of difference. (if it's not buggered!)

I would do the opposite! 95 Léoville will likely be in the late part of its drinking window and if stored poorly that will have accelerated. I'd probably give it 30 mins with the cork out and then have a taste. Too long open and poorly stored I would expect it to fall apart faster than normal.

Edited this twice as I incorrectly corrected myself... Too much Léoville Barton probably.

Ah good to know! I was assuming it would be treated much like a younger wine, so thanks for the education! Everyday is a school day :)

@200sols Stick a picture up of it when standing up so it's possible to see the level of the wine in the neck. Also if there's no evidence of seepage of liquid around the cork / capsule it's more than likely to have survived in ok nick too. Despite not having been stored well I would open it with confidence personally if the above is fine. I just wouldn't buy it off you...

I see @randomshenans is spamming GD now he has time on his hands :p
I've already come up with a new dating app in my 3 days being off work... this is why I shouldn't be allowed time off!! I've redone my office, been to ikea and everything. Made a christmas wreath and garland (never done that before but it's bloody amazing!) and I'm now officially Lord Ross Alexander Jones (having bought one of those stupid things off the internet) so yea... it's been 3 days. Wait until tomorrow! I'm building a 2 stroke push bike :D

The white Bordeaux? I used to slurp lots of that when i worked in Switz. 1999 and it was £20 a bottle in Migros PickPay with CHF 2.5 per GBP. Beautiful but pricey.

They make a white and I like it but I think it's only about 5% of their production. This was their red and it's priced a fair bit higher.

Edit: Also the white comes in 6 packs and the red in 12s. Would have been better for me if it was the white.

Vivino with 30% off selected wines until Friday :D Highlights include the Papale Linea Oro Primitivo at £19.42 and Eremo San Quirico Gold 2016 for £18.95 or 2013 Val de Flores Malbec for £23.75

I'm a living advert for Vivino :o
