The Witcher 2 - Thread

Well I have ordered boxed as I just want the game boxed. I guess I am a bit of an old fuddy duddy when it comes to digital downloads sometimes. I will buy digital, but just want this one boxed.

I did have mine on pre-order with the Jersey store since before Christmas, however I am getting a bit peeved with all of the pre-order bonuses following DA2. If you don't get them you feel like you are missing out, however you also think 'will they make the game easier'. Also the DA2 kit you got as a preorder bonuses made about 70-80% of the kit redundant. I have a level 13 character and I have changed his weapon once, and I did not have to, I only changed for aesthetics.

So I just suddenly today decided to sod the pre-order bonuses and get a regular premium edition. This way I will get it on day of release (jersey just does not do that) and I get to play the games the way it is meant to be played and I might just get to upgrade my kit :D

Not sure whether to pre-order or not. I guess the extra content is nice but I want to see what the impression of the game is from others first.

Picked up EE from gog in the hope that my old saves from 2009 would still work, and miraculously they do. Never quite finished it before (I'm at the bit in the icy wastes) - what I suspect may be the final battle but I'm damned if I can remember who anyone is...

I've had a scan through the thread, but I never seen anything official confirming there was a set of questions in TW2 if you don't have a save to import. I formatted my saves away and I would rather not play it again.

Is this definite?

Getting giddy now. Can't come soon enough.

I shall be thundering through the original again in the next few days in preparation.

Holding off watching all of the video diaries etc. online, too, which is making it worse! Will watch them on the disc included with the PE. :)

Realy looking forward to this game now, pre ordered it and payed for it yesterday :D. Downloading Divine Divinity based on what other people recommended in other thread so it just the wait for the next few days now :(

Was wondering about the downloaded data i have so far, i used the GOG downloader and have loads of chunk files in the witcher 2 folder, when i get the final 100mg of data will they unpack into the game. I am used to zip files etc but havent seen them done this way before ;)

I must admit i found chapter 1 on The Witcher 1 quite hard on my first run through, i actualy had to restart it and put a few hrs in so i had good weapons and enough potions to get the job done using the multi mob attack skills after that i found the game scaled very well and the ending was like WTF best twist on a ending i ever saw, didnt see that 1 coming :D. So looking forward to getting into this new game even more.

Just hope my 5770 can keep up with The Witcher 2 :)

Too bad they got rid of the cards, I liked those. For some reason the media seemed to think they were out of place or lame, but I thought they were really well drawn. Too bad you can't view all the cards you've collected. Waste of perfectly good fap-ammo :D

Sickening this comes out on the date of my first exam. Thankfully Duke is out on my birthday and i'll buy this too. Longest summer of my life on its way and so many good games to get stuck in to.

I thought I had found a nice game to keep me occupied until I get Witcher 2 - Plants VS Zombies.

It was pretty awesome, but I completed it in just two days :(

Darn short games, now I am impatient again.

I AM NOT WASTING MONEY ON THAT CE!

Please something somehow stop me from ordering it ......

Oh wait, yea, the sculpure is crappy :D Noty.

I pre ordered from play months ago for £25, might cancel and download from GOG so its ready to go at launch.
