Do I have to get into the garden and raindance for crossfire support/amd drivers?
I'd be tempted to pop a second 7970/280x into my rig if the drivers come along.
It would be nice if AMD tweeted about a new driver on the way, what it has for us, an a date of release.
I should have bought two 970's when I had the chance :(

only played it for a little while but (foliage draw distance) is a good thing to turn down if you want extra frames
pretty nice horsey game! :o

I presume that you have absolutely everything maxxed? How much VRAM is being used and what FPS are you getting?

Everything maxed

Frames, 23920,

Time (ms), 434156,

Min, 31,

Max, 68,

Avg, 55.095,

GPU usage was awful at about 65%.

VRAM usage was 3gb.

no surprise there when witcher 2 came out was very demanding , couple years forward single 980 gives 100 + 120 + fps , after a year or 2 same will be for witcher 3 single gpu will push 120 + fps

playing w2 atm before i buy this

Even with Titan X SLI I've decided to turn off hair works for now.

Maybe performance will improve in future, but I pretty much get consistant 60fps at 4k/Ultra without it and it doesn't make a huge difference visually IMO.

runs great for me
but then ive only played at 1080p so :)

but noway is it harsh like dying light was
seems easy on cpu too
feels nice and smooth
maybe i havent got to the busy areas yet

I get the following results with my crossfire setup @ 1080P:

High with hairworks off and AA off = 50-60fps

High with Hairworks off, AA on = 45 fps

High with Hairworks on , AA off = 32 fps

Ultra with Hairworks on, AA on = 18 fps

Will try tweaking some more but the game looks fine even with AA off. There is quite a bit texture flicker in game which seems to settle down after a while.
Once the AMD drivers are out then I expect to get 60 fps with AA on. The gpu usage on both cards is only 55-60%.
Not bothered with Hairworks since they actually have decent hair effects without it.

Not sure if anyone else agrees but I think there is definitely room in performance for the graphics of this game to be better, I was not expecting to be able to max this game out (almost) at 1440p with great performance using 2 780s (2 year old cards).

The graphics are great and all, but I can't help but feel disappointed with them - they are nowhere near the early trailer levels. I was hoping that this game would be the one to set the new bar for modern PC titles (like a Crysis 1 of 2015), but it's just not quite there in my opinion.

I'm surprised there's not been more criticism of this game. The graphics are really good but not that good so as to struggle to run at 60 FPS for upper-mid tier cards like the 970 and 290X at 1080p.

I read somewhere this game is not really supposed to be ran at Ultra, that's for the future when GPU become more powerful. That said, 'High' should look better than console, but people are struggling even with this.

People seem to be blaming their cards which is unreasonable.
