The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

What are people's recommended mods? I need the weight limit one, not having to repair weapons every 5 minutes and a few others.

I haven't played this in years, what are the best mods now?

Reading this discussion is making me want to play it again.
Not sure how well my aging pc will run it though with the new update and textures. I have a 4770K, and a rtx 3060. I'm guessing no chance of a decent frame rate at 1440.

I bet you have 500 side quests still to do
No doubt lol.

I did actually quite a few side quests, definitely more than the average person I reckon. Planning on going back in and doing some more at some point. The world still has so much to offer, it's ridiculous.

I used about 20 or so. I would say for visuals, Grim Lighting Revived (Next Gen) is essential.

Surprised that people didn't do all the side quests available, some of them were epic from what I can remember and I'm sure I've forgotten loads as I haven't played it in years.

Looking forward to some of the unique side quests more than the main ones and hopefully a few I completely missed last time too. They certainly put a lot more creativity into the 'side quests' compared to other games.

Yeah, a lot of the side quests were better than the main quests you get in a lot of games.

Not fully finished blood and wine but all of Hearts of Stone was amazing, the wedding, the mansion, the pub cutscene with Master mirror.

In base game there was an FLC quest when you go into a mine, Red Miasma or something, that was great.
Trying to think if the quest on undvik where you go after the giant a side quest or main. That was also good

The Arachas monster hunt was good in another mine. The leshen one in Skellige was also good. Also the secret level 47 arch griffin hit like a train.

The current play through i did every question mark (painful on skellige, sirens are the new cliff racers) got all master crafted armour and weapons except the blood and wine gear.

Currently using Master crafter viper set with full alchemy build with few skills in signs. Need to finish blood and wine but got distracted with other games

So guys, what were your favourite quests in the game (main or side)?
Probably the main bloody baron quest (great character)

Also I really enjoyed the tower of rats with Keira.

As for blood and wine, the competition you enter to be a top knight was excellent. And the stories attached.

Too many side quests / hunts to mention

Agree, there's so much good stuff but the Bloody Baron is a standout. Fantastic voice acting by James Clyde too.

I'm still struggling months /years later too :D Had a blast of Hogwarts Legacy recently though and that's not a bad game. Just had to give it a bit of time to grow on me.

CDPR really did nail it with TW3, didn’t they.

Sadly CP2077 just doesn’t come close, albeit a better looking game of course.

Will pick Hogwarts up once it’s properly reduced I think. Never been a HP fan but I’ve heard Hogwarts is a decent game.

It's a decent game in mechanics, but the AI/dialogue is like you're being talked to as if you're a 6 year old. Also the AI is non existent. Walk away whilst someone is talking? they continue to talk and finish their rambling. Other games the NPCs will be smart enough to quip "oh ok then" or "seeya" etc . That sort of omission removes a feeling of immersion.

I prefer Cyberpunk to Witcher 3, as good as it is, just because it's much more polished and the mechanics feel better implemented than TW3.

I've given this a good 25 hours or so since getting it to work with my cpu upgrade. I'm really torn, it's a game I feel like I should love - it looks magnificent, the stories/quests are reasonably deep and immersive, I quite like just wandering around and exploring, however it's not clicking. I'm sort of forcing myself to play as I feel like I should like it and it's so widely acclaimed.

The combat is frustratingly basic, you can cheese swipe, dodge, swipe, dodge with the occasional spells thrown in, unless long as you're not taking on enemies massively above your level, it's no challenge.

Ultimately, it's a great game, it's just not a great game for me I feel, I keep waiting for that moment where you get drawn in and it's all you want to play. Skyrim did that in the first few hours of play and right now, I feel like just reinstalling and going back to play that.

I'm sort of like @mrk above, i've put almost 200 hours into CP2077 and could start a new playthrough and get drawn in right now.

I am going to carry on, give it another solid play over the next few weeks as there isn't much else out there at the moment that grabs my attention, maybe i'll be posting with a completely different viewpoint in a fortnight.
