The world famous all-nighter thread. Please come on in...

when ppl say all nighter here, what do they really mean, ie stay awake throughout the night then sleep all day lol? A true all nighter is 40 hours without any sleep.

You can't count, technically it should be 48 hours.

Work through the night and through the day is my view of them, hate doing them though, so just stay up late, and get up early.

Finished my essay at 7.30am this morning..now off to relax..but OMG NEVER AGAIN..every single essay was done in a team of 3 people, always the night before! Psyhology..

Well 24 + 24 = 48, so I guess so. :p

I guess it depends on how you view it though, like 8am Monday through to late night Tues, or Wed morning.

Personal view of them is just staying up all night doing whatever it is I'm doing. I can't sleep during the day, so then don't go to bed till the evening of the following day anyway. :)

You'd think that.

However, my group did nothing, me and another guy literally did everything. Spoke to the lecturers about it, gave them 0's in the assessment, and kept complaining to them about the lack of commitment.

Even during the 20 minute presentation they spoke for 30 seconds while we spoke for the other 15... and they got the same mark as us. It was a joke.
 
Has anyone ever had trouble getting to sleep then saying to themselves, "Damn it, there's no hope of me getting to sleep tonight. Might as well stay up."

Then conk out an hour from when you're supposed to go to work/college/whatever? :D
 
You guys ain't going to believe this . . the 5/6 hours I spent yesterday trying to resolve my 'error' wasn't actually an error.

ULTIMATE FAIL :D

Oh well rock, planning on doing a 12 hour marathon on making more progress tomorrow!

I can tell you of a similar experience of a group piece in my year : 2 slackers did absolutely FA but turn up on the day- their obvious lack of knowledge and efforts was showing to horrific effect upon the overall presentation- to the extent where two of us had to relieve them and carry on.

Come the end, one of the idiots tried to shake my friends hand as the group bagged themself a first- he recieved an additional punch to the jaw! :eek::p
 
I'm up, tired, drunk, wondering wtf is the point in everything, sitting here, staring at a computer scrreen, no answers, no one has any answers, people don't care, win spin around on this rock in space and no one cares, people care more about notority , fame , being noticed, money all that crap, even love, I wish I cared or wanted what normal people wanted, man why are we here ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, it does my ******** head in, how can people look at the stars at night and carry on as normal talking crap, sighhhhhhhhh,.ws, need more beer, need answers, peice out, be good people.
