***The X-Factor Thread - ALL X-Factor Related Stuff In Here***

Best entertainment ever on TV, how can anyone not love the X Factor :p

The rubbish cringeworthy auditions are the best bits, then it gets boring oce they reach the final 12 :)

So true.

As a talent show: its okay.
As a comedy: fantastic.

Is it me or is there something disturbingly wrong in seeing grown men and women cry after an audition?

To see grown men cry is cringe-worthy. I can well understand if a 16 year old girl cries if she gets knocked out of the show, but for grown men...this just isn't right. In my book a lot of the men and women are wimps.

I wonder how these people get through life...do they cry on a daily basis?

Oh, I've just received a bill in the post. I owe £200...Cry.
Oh missed my favourite show on the telly...Cry.
Oh, I was late in to work today because my train was late...Cry.

I can understand crying if you lose a loved one, but to cry because you get knocked out of a talent show...this is not right.

What do others think?

Wonder what Cher would be like singing a 'proper' song.

I liked Cher's audition. I've not heard that song before, so I checked it out on Youtube. I must say that Cher sung it better than Keri Hilson and I don't think I have ever said that about any xfactor contestant ever.

When they reach the final 12, Cher will start singing proper songs, so it wont be long until we hear her sing properly again.

Said in a Scouser accent for better effect -

'But it's me life, I wanted this since I was born, it's all I eva wanted to do'

LOL

I can understand that, but in life, we get many knock-backs. Some of us spend 2-3 years studying a subject and end up failing. Do we end up crying our eyes out? No, you simply accept the failure and think about the next step.

I honestly never realised that there were so many wimps out there.

What's worse is when they get through to the next round and then start crying...What the hell???

I thought she sang a normal song last night
That 'When I ruled the world' or something (OK she did rap a bit).

She was rapping about "Jeruselum" and "ring a dingin'".

No, that was not a normal song by any stretch of the imagination.

In order to get win xfactor she will be told that she needs to sing mainstream songs, so its a given that she won't be repeating the rap/mixed-up songs...unless she wants to risk getting knocked out.

Well i'm hoping Gamu goes far! She's a schoolmate, and have been keeping tabs on her haha!

Sucks she's bound to secrecy, i want to know what's going on! xD

Gamu and Matt are probably my favourites so far. Think that changing the over-25's to over-28's was a mistake tho - it now seems that the over 28's are one of the weakest groups. Somewhere in the middle, 26 or 27, might have been better.

It was Coldplay's Viva la Vida wasn't it? She sang most of it normally - I'd say it was pretty mainstream. Still didn't like it tho :)

I quite like the odds of that Aiden fellow- he's also a deadringer for a very young Johnny Depp! :)

As always, lots of talent that I hope reveals an artist somewhat different to the usual- I can but hope eh? :p

Also, I'm glad that disgusting slapper is out. :)

So, the "be'sa ringi-dingin" - is it "for whom the bell tolls" in worcestrian, or.. ;)

That was definitely not mainstream and if she continues down this road, she will get voted out. If only to get votes, she will have to do something mainstream.

Dude you have some seriously repressed emotion, I don't think your problem is with others crying it is that you won't allow yourself to cry. Don't transfer your hate for yourself to others.

Back on the X Factor, glad the competition seems to be hotting up! I've really struggled to drum up any interest in the auditions this year even though it is usually my favourite part, I still prefered it when it was no music in front of the judges only. I can't decide who I think will win this year but my money is on either Gamu or the Painter at the minute and I really can't make my mind up on that Cher girl she is either really good or bloomin' awful!
