There be football! 7-8th & 14th Feb *SPOILERS*

I want to see Villa in the Champions League next season. It was a key aspect as to why Barry wanted to leave, and talking about him, what is his future at Villa? Is he staying or will he be off in the summer? Or will it depend on Villa getting into the Champions League? O'Neill has done wonders at Villa, it's good seeing another team in the mix at the top of the table.

That liverpool team does look terrible but also.....

Torres really doesnt look good, yes I know he isnt fully fit from his injuries but there is something else wrong also I would say - given that, I personally think its worth holding him back until Gerrard has recovered, to hopefully get his fitness etc back to normal (at the moment every time he plays it looks like he is seriously risking another big injury the way he isnt seemingly moving freely)

At least with that timesheet for today, its unlikely Liverpool will lose, which is what counts the most (esp away from home) and the way Pompey are playing at the moment, you could even sneak a win anyway

If Torres is risked and picks up another injury - that would be Liverpool practically over and done with (baring in mind Gerrard will miss one more EPL game and potentially the RM 1st leg) and if Torres is out aswell for any length of time) the end of the season would become very tough indeed, even if you now get the breathers from not being in the FA Cup

edit - it was great seeing Chelsea drop more points at home today :)

What must the players think though? Can't be too good for confidence, everywhere they look they'll see Liverpool defender apart from on the bench. Even if Liverpool win today its clear Benitez has clearly lost his marbles :o

Barry has stated if we get into the champions league he will stay, he is now captain again for at least 2 months.

what is the situation with cueller, he went off at half time injured, hope it isnt anything serious.

I think it was quite clear even before today that Benitez is in meltdown. Those comments about Lucas aside, that team selection against a team who have won 1 game at home in the last 4 months of Premiership football is shocking. No one on earth could have predicted that 11.

Get in!, this is dreamland for us Villa fans - we just keep turning out the wins on the road.

Obviously I'm not naiive enough to think we will win the league, but I really can't see us giving up our place in the top 4 - and who would have thought that our game at home to Chelsea next, would have any importance at the top end of the table for both teams!
