** THERMAL GRIZZLY - CHAMPIONSHIP THERMAL PASTE **

So I've just got myself a titan X and plan to buy the Hybrid cooler for it (when it's available) so I've been looking into getting a good paste for a gpu.

I assume that the Hydro variant would be recommended but the Kryo would work even better even though it wouldn't be used in an extreme environment?

Oh wow....

"yeah right, i applyed it to the contacts you muppet. ive got a whole bunch of techs here just laughing at you."

Thread is amazing.

Haha that thread is amazing, that guy has gotta be trolling though, the instructions couldnt be clearer on how to use it.

I think the forum needs a comedy awards section where the funniest threads get moved to.

Got mine arrived this morning.

i7 2600k @ 4.8GHz @ 1.35v (both on same room temp at 24c)

Before on Noctua NT-H1 Thermal paste:

Idle: 19c Load: 58c

Now on Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut High Performance Thermal Paste:

Idle: 17c Load: 51c

Massive improvement! Thanks Ocuk. :)

Did you freshly apply Noctua paste or was it what you already had on before?

Hydronaut as I have an AIO.

Used on my GPU and it made little to no difference, although cooling a Titan X with the reference cooler on is a tough job haha!

Gonna wait til I get a Hybrid Cooler for it (if they are ever sold!) and then re-do it along with my CPU.

8pack, when you get a spare minute, would you be kind enough to do a quick video on how you apply thermal compound ? (I'm pretty sure your method will be more effective than the way I do it)

Sure its on the list!! I will be doing a video about the entire range the benefits and how to apply. Interestingly just testing on 5960X against Gelid Xtreme I managed to drop approx 5 C on load temps with 5960X 1.3v 4.7ghz Core on a quad Rad running Prime small FFT.
