They're real!!!!!!!

Very nice, I'd have one of those 2nd hand. :)

I used to own a top of the range Citroen XM a few years back, which was the last 'luxury' series Citroen since the old C series. There was a lot to go wrong, and frequently it did, but when it was working it was just a superb car to drive around in - especially long distance.

I drove from Swindon to Paris in it once with 2 mates, we left at midday, arrived in Paris at about 7pm, saw the sights, kipped in the car in an underground car park, then drove home early sunday morning. We stopped at Calais for a mahoosive amount of beer/wine (about 2 full trolleys) and then drove back to Swindon arriving at midday. The awesome thing was it almost drove the same with 1 person in as it did with 3 people and half a ton of beer in the back - the active suspension is amazing, it just didn't sag at all. :D

I'd love an XM wagon...Only two things stop me from doing so:

1, Fear that something would break that would require specialist (read: expensive) assistance.

2, I know I'd drive it on full drop constantly and end up tearing things off on cats eyes...

It's a bit reminiscant of the old XM. I'd love one of those (XM), but they're a bit complicated to put right should something go wrong.

Lot of car for the money these days though, and i'm sure the C6 will be too if they sell enough of them.

Penski you disappoint me! You can't actually drive Citroens on the lowest setting or indeed any of the other setting that are not the middle one except for at very very low speed and even then only higher setting not the low one which is only there for service/maintenance reasons.

You can, it's not a very good idea though.

I loved my XM but it was pretty scary the amount of things that broke on it, and what they cost to get fixed. If you knew a decent local garage with good knowledge of them it'd be ok I guess, but I didn't so I had to take mine to a specialist. :(

well i didn't say it was physically impossible but if u drive it on the lowest setting there may not be enough pressure in the hydraulic system for the footbrake to work.... I have accidentally fallen foul of this in my Xantia once.

Nice car. Is it yours? If so, how'd you get a hold of the picture someone across the road took...

I smell BS...

Well move your nose a little - no wonder you cannot read a thread properly with your head so firmly and deeply inserted.

I'm not sure, I think he's onto something TBH.

OCUK DETECTIVE BRIGADE WINZ AGAIN!

I like big French saloons, the C6 does look OK to me. They are almost always comfortable, offer loads for your cash s/h, but are plagued by negative stigma (not by any means unfounded) about the electronics. It's a shame really, as they offer so much for so little.

As my neighbour who works for the AA puts it- French cars (especially renault) keep us in business.

It is his, blatantly obviously. How could it not be? After all he stood near to it, took the picture and said he spotted it. He probably even mentions somewhere that hid Dad bought it for him from an Asian guy next to his dad's work for £4k and a copy of Max Power and numerous other things. I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll spot the loaf of Hovis on the bonnet.
