Things we got for Christmas

I bought the new lady a kindle fire, went down quite well :D.

I'm really impressed.

Me (and my mum) got my Dad one back for his birthday and he's constantly using it, and I thought it was "alright" whenever I had chance to use it briefly.

However having used one for a while now I can say it's fantastic. Even looks like you're reading a book too.

I got a big leather PC chair better than anyone else has on this forum !! In fact it looks like the Mastermind chair only better as im sitting in it.............................. Sorry fell off it there. What were we on about again? :D

My parents ended up spending more than usual on me this year as they went to barcelona and then andorra shopping just before christmas..resulting in a lot of spending.

I ended up with the following
-Various ck smellies/shower stuff etc
-A box of henri lloyd socks from my uncle, the price tag of £39.99 was still on it..Unsure if that's what they cost, though I wouldn't put it past him to spend an hour or so 'accidentally' leaving price tags from other products in boxes of others..
-A lovely maroon ben sherman harrington jacket (barcelona)
-HD 228 sennheiser headphones
-One of those RC helicopters you see people playing around with in gadget shops, it's so much fun!
-The usual chocolate/underwear selection
-A few DVDs
-Box of Ferrero Rochers
-A single Bic biro pen sat inside a massive wrapped box from my best friend, the kind you can get a pack of 10 for £0.75 or so - I got him a selection of single beers - something he'd been complaining about prior to christmas (Why would anyone want a selection of 5 different brand beers?!)
-£180 cash

And the best; £10,000 from my grandfather who sold his £400000 house just before christmas to move into a 1 bedroom apartment. He gave each of the grandchildren (Three including me) £10000, and my mother and auntie got £25000 each.

My parents have of course suggested I put this aside for university or whatever, i'm undecided.. My bank balance of £10,600ish is killing me! I'm only 17, it's hard to excersise control over something like this! I have no bills to pay, etc as i live at home.

Well that's my christmas story..

Spoilt much? I smell bull****

Save it for a car? Insurance?

Honestly undecided.
I'm thinking about spending most of the £600 on a decent gaming rig, as my q8200 and gt120 are getting on in years now.
I have driving lessons paid for by my grandmother, who paid for my 18 year old cousins lessons aswell.

I think I'd do better on one of my parents policies and occasionally use their car - There's a bus stop under a minutes walk from the bottom of my house's driveway which takes me into town, I have a free students bus pass for sixth form etc - I just wouldn't use it..

Edit:
Hardly spoilt. My grandfather has worked his whole life for that money, and as he's getting on in age he'd prefer to give it to us now than lose it to the government (Apparently they look after him better penniless than if he has plenty of money - i couldn't comment on it as i have no clue..).
My grandmother is a self-made millionaire, and used to be married to that grandfather though they got divorced. They did up houses, sold them bought new ones, did them up, sold them etc. Now she's with a new partner and they still do it.
I think she has three houses at the moment she's doing up.

Honestly if i was in that situation i would make sure i didn't blow it on crap.. You could you put whatever the max is on ISA's think its 4 or 5K Tax free a year high interest, they penalise you for withdrawing it by dropping your interest. Good way to save it without being tempted :) Ultumitly its your decision though just an idea :D
