Old news! I'm sure there was even a bbc article on it a few years back.Found a good one that i needed to share. Not quite a should have known but a mind blowing fact none the less!
We have been genetically modifying plants and animals for years now with other organisms not genetically related to create transgenic organisms. This has been used to get around a huge problem of producing a spider silk from a golden orb weaver. The silk is several times stronger than steel for its weight, is flexible and stretchy and has uses in advanced sporting gear, armour, medicine (as replacement to ligaments) and other uses. Unfortunately you cant farm the silk as the spiders are cannibals making it incredibly impractical.
For several years some goats have been genetically modified with this spider DNA to produce this silk. These goats are literately milked for silk. It seemed like an April fools joke or something but a little googling came up with a company who trademarked the silk and a pair of shoes Adidas made from it.

Saying that I only knew this because I love goats. Just look at their little faces! And hooves. Aww.

I think that's a myth.It is legal for a male to urinate in public, as long it is on the rear wheel of his motor vehicle and his right hand is on the vehicle.
Eggs, because fish lay eggsSo what came first, the dinosaur or the egg?
The feeling that you're short of air and need to breathe is not triggered by you not having enough oxygen. It's triggered by you having too much carbon dioxide. That's why gases that don't have a smell or taste and which don't cause any irritation are particularly dangerous - since you're breathing fine and thus getting rid of excess carbon dioxide you won't feel as though there's a problem until you start suffering from oxygen deprivation and by then it's probably too late. If you're asleep, you probably won't notice anything before you die.
