If its a tea bag in mug affair, then its sugar if you have it with the bag in the mug, add water, leave for a few minutes, stir and add milk to get it the right colour/strength, then squeeze the life out of the bag and serve with a packet of hob nobs.

That is how you make the perfect brew.

Believe at school we should all be taught:

- basic first aid
- general food hygeine
- general finance
- making a good cup of tea/coffee

This is an awesome thread :)

It is the epitome of all that is GD.

I still cant decide how many teaspoons of hot chocolate is best... sometimes its 3 heaped, sometimes 4. At my age I really should know by now.

Personally I go for 3 heaped then a smaller 4th (maybe 1/2 a teaspoon). Then it's 3/4f filled with hot (not quite boiling water) and topped off with milk.

I do that too :(

can you reccomend and good hot chocolate drinks? my taste buds have been spoiled with hot chocolate from a hotel in disney florida and ever since all others taste like really powdery crap. the best i used to drink was horlicks chocolate but that was only ok and now can only find it in very light which requires 100 spoons of it to get it close to nice.

im open to any suggestions

btw i voted teabag out before milk, was under the impression that the whole world did it like that but then my world got turned upside down face when working as a housekeeper at the hospital and all the old ladies asking for milk first

I can't stand hot chocolate here, it's watery crap.

Aero is the best I've found, it's very thick and frothy :D

Yorkshire teabag, 1 sugar, Costa Coffee Mug, Semi Skimmed milk, Boiling water.

Sugar and teabag in the mug and apply boiling water, give it 3 stirs and leave for 3-4 mins :). Go back, 3 more stirs, remove teabag and add milk as required.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

your perfect cup of tea is now ready.

For the best hot chocolate, don't you melt down solid chocolate and then add milk? I'm not a connoisseur or anything, but I thought that was the idea no...?

Putting milk in with the tea bag actually makes me cringe.

My housemate at uni did this and also used to suck his teabag. I usually had to leave the room.

Good idea. I could justify it since I have to go out on site a fair bit and I would need to know what to do if someone frys themself :)

Turn the electric off, at least to save the company some money ;)

Oh and don't touch him. :D
