Nice one! Did you do the Network+ before MCSA Server 2016?Nearly done. Got my MCSA in Server 2016 a few weeks ago. Now studying for MCSE in Cloud and Infrastructure, due to take my exam end of next month. Then I can start looking for jobs outside the UK
Ive given myself another goal and will start studying for CCNA Cyber Ops Certification but that wont be till mid 2019.

I'm trying to decide the best route to take.
Where do you live now? I think if the money is the same it's worth considering just how high the cost of living is in San Francisco.Decisions, decisions.
Had a promotion offer this week. I'e been asked to move out to the US (San Fran) to manage the team that I'm currently part of. Money would be similar, just more shares.
On the one hand it's a great opportunity, more visibility etc. On the other I know I can make more money by overachieving in the role I'm in now without all the stress of moving to the US with the family.
Tricky one.
I live in a fairly large house in the Midlands currently. The added complexity is that we wouldn't want to sell this and changing our mortgage to allow us to rent it out would probably push it up a little.Where do you live now? Yeah this what worries me a little. The salary will be good, but I don't want to move somewhere amazing, but then not have enough to really enjoy it.There was a story in the news the other day about earning 6 figures in SF you would still be classed as 'low income' by Govt figures...

That is amazing, well done!I've not been on the forums much over the past year due to setting up an IT MSP in October 2017.
Since starting we've gone from two people (me and my business partner) to employing an additional three people, with a 4th joining us soon.
We now have 36 contracted clients, paying monthly and several who use us for project work, such as cloud migrations or infrastructure upgrades. Our clients range from 10 users to over 200 users, across a diverse range of sectors.
This time last year I was coming to the end of a failed MBO not knowing if walking away with nothing would be a mistake. Thankfully it's the best thing I have done and I've never been happier, professionally.

Sounds exciting. Do post how your move goes and what the journey/ experience is like. Always great to read.
Thanks will do!
Any much as anything it's a lifestyle change from living in Aberdeen for the past 6 years, and I've always wanted to live abroad for at least a few years
Excellent stuff. My housemate and I are setting up a business to offer consultancy services, no idea where it will go, but I'm hoping it will take off. Between us we have a lot of quals, he's also a CCIE and I'm studying VCAP at the moment.
That's absolutely amazing! Congratulations!!
