No the OP is right it does need a Major face lift. It's like the forum is stuck in the 90's.

Presentation of the forum website doesn't bother me at all - I'd like a white theme option for safe browsing at work though.

The only other thing I would ask for would be a +1/"Thank post" button. Then you have threads filled with opinions and not posts saying +1 etc, and it helps to lend weight to good opinions.

I actually like the lack of animated sigs and avatars. Doubt that will ever change.

I like it. I also Browse Reptile Forums UK, and its as slow as hell on my mobile, some people have animated gifs, 10-15mb in size in their sigs.

And stuck in the 90's? The 90's were guestbooks and not a lot else!

I actually enjoy this place in large because of the community but aside from that the simplicity of it all, no need for bells and whistles, it just is what it is.

I like the forums as they are; clean and fast. I prevent all signatures and avatars from appearing as they just clutter up the page, IMO.

I'd rather have a forum which looks like a throwback to 2002, but has a great community to that of a newer design and a poor community.

Don't know how many times people have some seizure inducing signatures in some forums. I'm glad it's basic.

There used to be a site that would change any web page to look like a word document.

It's one of the fastest loading sites I visit on my mobile, blue w/ white writing is better than white background!

I'm a member of many forums and this is one of the biggest yet most basic i've seen. The default blue which which is just vile and if i'm not mistaken, the only way to change it is to user a browser plugin, then you've got no private message system, no custom avatar choice, no extra smilies and the biggest one for me is the no simple way to embed a youtube video. (yes i do know how but what a load of faffing about)

So why is a computer forum that specialises in high end computers and have tens of 1000's of members have the most basic forum out there?

If you hate it so much, why have you got so many accounts?

Same here,I also am on other forums but this one is the best by far.

I use the black theme and makes it look so much better and can still use everything you mentioned that dosent work,so I don't what plug in you use where all the things you say don't work.

It's not the way a forum looks or how many avatars you can use or the stupid gifs but it's the people who make a forum and the people are in here are great.
