Dunno where your posting but I use a lot of forums and when I registered on this one for the free shipping the thing that shocked me was how tame it was. No swearing allowed, no insults even if their warranted, clean images only, etc.

Compared to most forums I use this place is like a playgroup, everyone gets on and there's loads and loads of rules people have to abide by.

I'd agree that the Technical side of the Forum has been watered down but not by Racists, I'd say the new type of Internet users have invaded us & now we are just a commercial Social forum.
I also remember the members here not suffering fools gladly & ripping the **** out of anybody who steps out of line.
Nowadays it seems the majority are into the sillyness & the Tech side is near non existent.
This would worry me if I had shares in Oc as I think the stock in store & the Expert help/info that Was given on the forums & the forums high tech reputation was what made Oc a Leader in the field rather than just another PC component shop.

because they are forums for computers and video games, and not a single person Ive ever met IRL had any interest in these things, so I rely on forums to discuss and read about the things I like.

Unlike you however, Im not stuck in past. I realize that the stuff you posted happened a long time before we even had acceptance of equal / human rights. Your information would be comparable to judging Germany today by Nazism, or by judging America by its use of black slavery in the past.

Times have moved on today where the political correct stance is literally that any minority can do no wrong, and unless they actually kill a person they get away with just about any crime.

This is currently a sad fact of life in the UK, but imo it is better than when they were being discriminated against, though some balance would be nice.
 
This place is a lot tamer than what it used to be. I remember a time when a number of people were banned for posting on a certain other forum, even if it was only for being able to swear your head off. The mods used to be a lot less lenient and tolerant, thankfully they seem to have chilled a lot since I first started posting here in 2003.

Actually I guess your right - but it wouldn't be true to say we hadn't recognised the value of human rights.

You know what, it shoulnt be a sad fact. I should be embracing it!

I dont get why I never joined one of the many asian happy slapper / white man hunting gangs before!

I could beat up, or even clobber a white person with a weapon, and as long as they survive state in my defense 'They were being racist'.

Then I get away with any charges whatsoever.
 
I think the dons use their "powers" sometimes when it should not be used, you get threads locked that should not be locked, happens all the time.

You get people suspended that really should not be suspended.
