Mum's paying off a £2000 new corner leather recliner sofa so gave her £300 towards it.

(I still don't understand this thread, please explain!) I'm assuming it's what happening in your life at the moment..?

Pretty much. A thread for everything that doesn't deserve its own thread. Daily happenings, musings, and chatter. :)

Email me :p V70s are cheaper but the 850s hold their value better. 99-00 years needs to be avoided. They're called b*stard years for a reason. 97 850 or 97-98 V70 would be better option. 94+ 850s and 97-98 V70s share the majority of parts too, if you need spares. V70s are slightly softer in terms of setup and handling when compared to the 850s, which are the better drivers car.

Cheaper V70Rs are probably manual swapped, which may or may not have been done properly, and probably a few issues. 850Rs are mental money, but T5s are cheaper with more parts availability and only differ from Rs in terms of boost pressure in terms of engine performance. Rs also sat 15mm lower from factory but you're no stranger to lowering cars. Aside from that it's purely cosmetic, and why I'd recommend T5s over Rs unless you're looking for a long term keeper/summer car.

T5Rs are rarer than the Rs and basically commanding the same price, and worth avoiding cos near impossible to find interior pieces for.

If you really want a wagon and don't mind crappy turning circle the P2 V70s (like your S60 T5) are probably a more sensible buy as parts availability both new and used is much better. They aren't quite as sharp handling wise but interior as I'm sure you know is exceedingly comfy, performance is on par (if not actually faster). If you don't want a wagon I'd go back to S60s. I love P80's and won't be getting rid of mine unless life forces me to, but they are getting to be a real pain to find parts for.

Pinged you a message with some info. It's a purchase of convenience as they want my car

I am just realising my partner is a a self centred idiot.

Let our 2 year old play with coins, while she decided to **** about on her phone.

So now I'm in a.e cos she suddenly thinks the girl swallowed some coins and has one stuck despite the fact she running around, stuffing her face and drinking without any issues.

Moron I swear

A bit stupid to let a small child play with anything which they could swallow without constant supervision... :/

Omg I'm so drunk. It's brilliant. I haven't been drunk in years:D

Work Xmas do? Mine was just now too if so. Didn't get too drunk, had like 10 free rum and cokes but ate so much free food that I only felt tipsy. :p

Accidentally felt up my coworkers bum because she went in for a one armed hug but her bag was in the way so I thought it would be fine to go below the bag but it turns out that was bum. She found it funny. Then dragged me onto the dancefloor. But I can't dance so it was really awkward. :p :p

Read the pamphlet that came with some drowzy antihistemines I was prescribed to help with sleep (I suffer with severe anxiety) and discovered that if you take a high dose after drinking alcohol it can cause a coma or even death... I feel like they should have told me that when they prescribed it to me! I took some after the work Christmas party where I'd had a good 10 drinks and woke up the next morning feeling strange... I could literally have died.

I feel like its worth raising with someone... But I guess it was left to me to read the pamphlet? I've never bothered reading the small print that comes with medication. I've always been of the opinion that it will do whatever it does, and reading the small print would just put me off taking it. Then I can weigh up for myself whether the benefits outweigh any side effects I notice.

HABY BIRTDOY!

Pretty much every medication contraindicates drinking. My girlfriend is on a setup of about 5 antidepressant / anti-anxiety / antipsychotic medications. Including a drowsy antihistamine for sleep as well. They all suggest not drinking I think.

Don't be over scared - side effect warnings include the very rare effects. But do read your pamphlets

I've found it's worth taking time to work out interactions when starting new medication. Especially when drinking.

Most of them just say stop drinking alcohol if you experience adverse effects, these ones just flat out say no alcohol.

secretspy has good breed-ready credentials for a suitable candidate.

You don't half say some funny stuff.

My Dad still has a Nokia 5110 on some ancient Orange contract where he just pays for what he uses and his bills are almost always sub £4 a month... I have no idea how he's still on it... :p

My Mum just upgraded from the OG Nokia 3310 to the new Nokia 3310... Tech wizzos in my family. :D
