Yeah to be fair I gave him no choice.

Been told should go to A&E and have it drained, put a **** load of pressure on it with a gauze and bandage, let's see what I wake up too! Sod going to A&E after 8PM when everyone ends up being on-call, that's how you waste time only to be sent away.

Have you tried soaking it in some salt water?

...

Ugh so sleepy this morning. Was waking near enough every hour this morning and then the cats wouldn't leave me be so had to get up at 6am. They're all cute and cuddly until they get hungry :o

I've considered it. I was soaking it before, I've also considered taking a scalpel to it and TCP :D

Interview today....still unsure i want it...but it's a dream company. It is waaaay up north (those who had their coffee will remember my Sunderland thread! :p) but maybe i could do it for a year. Hmm.

Spent 3 hours up on scaffolding in this scorching heat removing Bitumen from finlock gutters, I'm sooooo happy to be home now led on the bed with a cold drink

Made a lunch of paninis, cheese, onion & paprika with a huge leafy salad with toms and dressing. Now off out for a spin to find a nice quiet wheelchair-friendly spot for a stroll.

Hi @secretspy, how are you doing?

She's not too bad in her own way, thanks for asking. :) We've had a good week or so with no major drama, touch wood. She enjoyed the afternoon out and is now having a lie down. We went for quite a spin - the longest she's had for quite a long time - and it's taken it out of her a bit.

I've got some nice Welsh lamb for our Sunday dinner (with sauce made with mint from the garden) which I'll get cracking with shortly. That'll build her back up again. :)

I'm good thank you.

Glad to hear your mum enjoyed your jaunt out :) (I myself am struggling to stay awake today and I feel like I've not done much lol)

I'm sure a lovely home cooked meal will help , like you said. Weirdly growing up we never had lamb but we always had beef with mint sauce lol

I went into M&S today for the first time in months. I haven't set foot in any shop since 22nd March but made sure I wore a mask. Thankfully it was quiet inside as it was hot and stuffy. I definitely will stick to the click and collect though, I bought way too much rubbish food whilst I was in there :o (was only meant to pop in to get something for lunch!)

No! Sleep! Till Bedtime! :)
\m/ :D \m/

Glad your mum's doing ok mate :) I've also been out today which is a rarity. Just to a friend's garden but it really refreshes me and my partner from being stuck inside together. We should do it more often.

@secretspy I did my first shop visit since March week, for muffin cases :o Had to try 4 Sainsbury's Local/corner shop type places so I got a fair bit of mask practise!

That desperate for muffin cases were you? :p as a back up option you could have used some greaseproof paper instead

How did you find it?
It was definitely a strange feeling, seeing others wearing them, some staff wearing a visor or nothing at all. As I had said to my mum previously, sometimes I'll be driving along and seeing the other traffic etc or sat at home thinking about what to do in the sunny weather and for a split second forget what's currently going on. And then you see someone in a mask, or read something on the news and you remember.

I certainly feel sympathy for the nurses and doctors who have to wear a mask all day. I couldn't wait to get mine off as soon as I stepped outside (I think lad baby has the right idea with the neck fan lol)

I think I'll get a different mask for any future visits I.e. fuel station as the one I had was a surgical type one but was too big
