Watching a guy taking apart a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer and going through all the parts from an engineering POV.

I am very impressed by his knowledge from how they paint something to how they put together a PCB to the kind of plastics used for the switches to the type of metal alloy for the casing or even how to make a screw.

Why not? It’s a hobby, I enjoy it. I like tuning around and finding international shortwave stations to listen to. Radio China is always there and always loud.
That actually sounds like an interesting and cultural thing to do.

I don't listen to the radio enough.

Currently though, I've just found one of my puppy's teeth on the carpet.

She seemed a bit freaked out by it!

Breaking in a new pair of glasses.

This is what happens when you have eyes that are -6.50 and -7.0 with huge astigmatisms. Add varifocals and 1.74 index to thin the lens.

Sold my car today, a 2018 Audi A5 Sportback S-Line that I’ve had from new.

I ended up getting £5000 more than I owe on it, and with 2nd hand car prices being so high it was a good time to get out of the finance on it, but I’m still gutted to part with it. It’s been a cracking car, but has fallen victim to having a 16 month daughter to look after, and so sadly I’ve found that the boot space with the pram in it isn’t quite enough, while getting her in and out of the back with the sweeping roof line and the low stance makes it a bit too impractical.

It was the same with the Golf GTI I traded in when I bought that car, it feels like betraying an old friend when you’re leaving them behind on the forecourt as you drive away from the dealership.

Solution is a smaller pram, not a bigger car :p

Yeah I'm with Raymond on this one. 16 months is SO close to ditching the mammoth pram your in-laws bought for you as well, and switching it up with a Maclaren umbrella pram.

Well, the other issue with the A5’s low stance is that my wife also occasionally suffers from back problems, while both of our parents are getting on now, my mum struggled getting in and out of it especially as she’s already had one knee replaced, and it’s now looking like she might need the other one done.

It was the A5’s time to go sadly. Not sure what I’m going to replace it with yet as I’m flying out to Japan on Saturday to join a ship for around 3 months. I’ll possibly look at getting some sort of plug-in hybrid SUV, I quite like the looks of the new Hyundai Tucson, or the Kia Sportage when it’s released.
