Got stung on the skull by something big.

I didn't see it but my wife managed to flick it away. She seems to think it was much bigger than a normal bee...

2 ½ hours later after an Antihistamine, cortisone cream applied and some ibuprofen and it still hurts like an absolute *******. I can't remember I was in this much pain for so long (must lead a charmed life)

Currently feeling sorry for myself :o (woke with god awful sore throat and felt achy throughout the day) down side of living alone, no one to send out to get me comfort food etc
Had a bath after work which has helped a little and now binge watching Ted Lasso. Have well and truly got hooked on this show :) blooming love Roy :D

The next stage is the probing. Good luck...

Took a bloke from A&E the other day who'd been stung on the hand/wrist by a wasp. He's a gardener and has been stung many times in the past with nothing but the usual discomfort, but this time was different. He lifted his dressings to show me and his fingers and his arm to the elbow were swollen to 2 or 3 times the normal size. Looked painful as ****.

Yay here!

Went for a walk while on break at work, saw a pigeon just sat in middle of road. Went over, looked a bit wobbly, breathing funny, blood around the beak. Tried to pick it up but flapped a bit and fell on it's face a few times. Had to sort of half handle it, half frighten it to the pavement and the grass so it could at least avoid the cars. Not really sure what else I can do. Hopefully just a bit winded and gets to gather itself and back to normal after a bit of a rest.

Waiting for my video files to transfer from SD card to my PC, feeling gratefully that I still have a job and life is not too bad in these tough times.

Also nursing my hands (cracks) from too many hand washing from my day job

They do seem to be around a lot more, or maybe i'm more aware of them. Nasty little things.

Installed FreeCAD and going through some tutorials on YouTube. Between experience with hammer editor and my foundation engineering course I hope it will not be too much of a leap.

I mean they make a good snack to birds... they're bloody awful things though, and sadly due to global warming they're going to become more common...
Yep

The locals say that they have hardly been bitten at all until this year…

Have bites which get bad, sore, leak pus, itch like mad. Have to bandage up a couple on holiday. Using the bite cream Betamethasone valerate which I was prescribed in April after Cyprus. The area around bites was dark purple- this time dark red. Not done much at all.

The thing is i can’t use insect repellent as bring on asthma symptoms. Or once they gave me more bites.

On holiday, I use either unscented toiletries or mint, herbal and lavender scented. Also have a lavender bag in suitcase and in wardrobe.

You poor thing, that sounds awful.... mossis have never really gone for me as much as others, when I was in Rome in summer, everyone but me got bit a shed load and I got away with one bite, although also helped because most of the time I became Italian and wore jeans in the 30C weather :D

In Rhodes I only had one bite during the holiday. Got bitten about 6 times between airport terminal and boarding plane. As a small lake nearby.

Also on this holiday got bitten through my trainer liners. On the ankle bone are the worst ones
