Yep

The locals say that they have hardly been bitten at all until this year…

Have bites which get bad, sore, leak pus, itch like mad. Have to bandage up a couple on holiday. Using the bite cream Betamethasone valerate which I was prescribed in April after Cyprus. The area around bites was dark purple- this time dark red. Not done much at all.

The thing is i can’t use insect repellent as bring on asthma symptoms. Or once they gave me more bites.

On holiday, I use either unscented toiletries or mint, herbal and lavender scented. Also have a lavender bag in suitcase and in wardrobe.
Are you OK with antihistamines? Apparently taking those a few days before your holiday and then during, can help. Also read a tumble dryer sheet in your pocket deters them but am yet to try that. Took an insect repeller plug in to Rhodes a few years back but it was plugged in on the opposite side of the bed I was on and I had 15 bites by the time I went home. The bite pen treatment from superdrug seemed to make them worse so I tried apple cider vinegar and it worked a treat to help them heal and stop itching.

My blood obviously tastes amazing

Ugh why does it have to be Sunday evening already :( going to be another busy week at work and still currently fighting off this lurgy. Thankfully I work remotely these days

So I'm sitting in the dental chair getting my teeth polished, thinking why does he have to have such a stunning dental nurse when I'm in such a unflattering position? A few moments later I go back to the reception to pay and notice the dentist now has his wife working on the reception. :D

We're having the living room ceiling plastered.

I was chatting with the plasterer's labourer- typical valleys lad in his 40s- and he mentioned he spent a year in China, doing a masters in kung fu.

People are just endlessly surprising, and I love that.

Had an interesting conversation about cauliflower ear today at work. Half the people had never heard of it before! I didn't realise it was such an unknown thing! But perhaps that's because I have it so assumed it was common...

Tbh I probably wouldn't have heard of it if not for watching A Question of Sport with Bill Beaumont who had it due to playing rugby. I remember watching it thinking wtf is up with his ears  Probably not that common outside of say rugby or a grappling sport.

Have a look at the thermacell system. It’s a little gas powered thing that releases a vapour into the air, and it absolutely destroys mosquitoes.

I do a lot of fishing down south and I also react really badly to bites and the thermacell really does work wonders - it kills then dead.

Got stung on the skull by something big.

I didn't see it but my wife managed to flick it away. She seems to think it was much bigger than a normal bee...

2 ½ hours later after an Antihistamine, cortisone cream applied and some ibuprofen and it still hurts like an absolute *******. I can't remember I was in this much pain for so long (must lead a charmed life)

Could have been an Asian Hornet. Horrible things and appearing more and more here now.

Vistara. It's a jv between Tata and Singapore. Service was a bit naff but I think given its an Indian pure play, the white folk get treated dependant on the attitude of the staff on the day. Still, top shelf champagne and full lie flat bed so I've just landed ready for work (y).

Hope you packed your top level earner Gucci belt xxx

As many of you probably know the phone cabinet for our street isn't activated for fibre and I can only get ADSL2+ @ about 1MB/s, long story short OpenReach ****** up and forgot to activate it. Anyway, plusnet are changing things around and have just emailed me.

We're just getting in touch to remind you that you're not currently in a minimum term contract for your broadband (Plusnet Unlimited Broadband). This means you're currently paying the out of contract price of £14.57 per month.

I'm not paying that price though, I have a few referral discounts so it's around the £8 a month mark. But they've just offered me this.

A great deal for you

This is our best offer for you based on your current package:
Unlimited
From only £21.99 a month
24 month contract
Line rental included
10Mb average download speed
•
Price changes apply

What do you reckon, should I 'upgrade' to this great deal? :D :p
