I thought I was having a terrible year but you sir have the crown on that particular title.

So my day started being woken at 2 am by the dog having a seizure, straight to the emergency vet. Turns out he has a cracked rear tooth that’s got infected. High temperature caused the seizure.

So he’s on antibiotics and had fluids pumped into him.

Now waiting for the normal vets to open so I can book him in to have the tooth either repaired or extracted.

So far today I have spent the best part of a thousand pounds. And will probably need to pay a fair bit for the tooth removal.

Luckily the car needs to go in for a not next week so let’s see how much of my savings that can destroy

Shirley there has gotta be better odds car raffles? I presume Matt Armstrong has brought an army of punters buying tickets.

Some folk on here have once twice or thrice on these by sniping the right raffles.
 
Yesterday I heard the "body hitting the ground" sound, and rushed over to find a woman had fallen.

Someone was already checking she was OK, so I stayed for a bit to check all was well before leaving.

I was saying how good the other helper had been with the woman, asking all the right questions and so on. The person I was with said "Don't you know who that was? They're (one of the most senior/ respected medical professionals in the country)!"

What a stroke of luck for that woman.

I had something similar as a child. My grandfather had a very curious illness and nobody could work out what. My parents were talking with my friends dad about it, who happens to be one of, if not the, leading expert on malaria. Turns out my grandfather had picked up malaria about 20 years earlier and it had quite an unusual relapse.

Sometimes everyone needs a bit of luck.

My auntie also had malaria for a while before it was identified. She was a qualified nurse, too!
 
Friend was in Greggs. Two Muslim men in full Muslim clothing in front of me. Asking if pork sausage rolls are halal to the staff member. The men should know that there is no such thing as halal pork as the pig is classed as unclean in the Quran.

I knew that even I am not a Muslim.
