This Instant And Moment - 2024!

Dentist wasn’t too bad. Small chip in the crown filled for now, it’s still 95% intact and we have a plan for if it fails again that doesn’t involve giving up! Now lunch and then some Zero Dawn.

It fits. Excuse the rubbish desk.
I quite like it, image seems a bit soft at times when playing games, perhaps because it's 1440p at 32"? The more I use it the more I like it.

I didn't like the curved screen at first but it's growing on me. Not bad for £15 though (3 x £4.99 tickets)

It’s a great monitor! A quick desk tidy up and some monitor backlighting and your golden :)

Yeah the more I use it the more I like it. It's very immersive having a bigger screen and with the curve. Really happy now.

The desk is a rubbish built in thing at the house we rent. We're buying somewhere in 2025 though, so I'm looking forward to a proper setup :)

No where else to ask and not worth a mod PM.

@Feek - I know GD posts don't count towards your total post count these days, but is there other forums as well? I'm looking forward to a new avatar at 10k but feel like i've been in the low 9000's for bloomin ages now

I just hit 75k with a new avatar ! (I wasn't even aware until @rp2000 pointed out to me)

Congrats!

Did you ever buy/win any posts from those weird raffle things from back in the day or are they all 100% genuine motorway miles? :p
The vast majority of mine were from a comic relief raffle/auction back in the day!

I'm sure no one else noticed apart from me, but I did have a unique avatar on these forums till Raymond Lin hit his milestone today!

My women is on the phone yapping away thinking she's talking to me as I type this. Seriously she's been breaking my ear hole since Stratford I'm now at Goodmayes on the Elizabeth line.

She once called me and somehow got put through to my voicemail and she didn't realise. By the time I checked my voicemail I found a 5 and a half minute long message waiting for me.

Just went training, in my gi. Found out i'd booked onto the wrong class, and it was no gi jiu jitsu, which was really weird as I didn't know what to do at all. Stuck it out, and picked up a useful sweep.

Also, I felt like the best dressed man at the party.

Ah, just had the fauna man remove the eggs from the plover / lapwing nest in the backyard. They were roosting for 10 ******* weeks and preventing us from using the backyard washing line, or mowing. Its like a jungle-lawn. Cost me $225 for the egg removal.

Bonzai !

One of my wisdom teeth was a bit sore on Weds, which happens sometimes. Come Thursday and it's exploded into full agony, can't close my mouth, chew or swallow. Called dentist and first appointment was 4pm Friday. By then my jaw and throat had swelled up, feeling like death and have had 24hrs of secondary migrane like symptoms. The infection has obviously affected the major facial nerve that's around there.

Have hardly had any sleep and nothing but a couple of mouthfuls of soup for 2 days...on the plus side, I've lost 5lbs :p

Careful it doesn't spread - knew someone where it spread so that they struggled to breathe - phone 111 and they should be able to get you an emergency appointment for the same day.

Dentist has given me strong antibiotics and I'm currently at hospital waiting for an Xray, prior to having an extraction when infection cleared up.

Seems my options are wait months for NHS to do it or pay £350 and it'll be done immediately.

Take my money.

I've been lucky tbh, never even had a filling and rarely any trouble with my teeth, but currently feeling one of the worst I have ever felt, especially when the paracetamol wears off which it's doing far too quickly :( I have a bad reaction to ibuprofen as well, so can't even use that to supplement the pain relief.

I'm obviously too tired, as I read it as you couldn't get an appointment until next Friday :D last time I had an infection they said it was so bad they made me swallow four antibiotics there and then in the practice. Hopefully they start to work for you nicely.

My dentist always worries about how much everything is costing. To have functioning, pain free teeth just take my money! Hope it gets sorted quickly, teeth can be a nightmare, probably one of the worst things about lockdown for anyone who needed treatment.
