I'm meant to be asleep. I decided to listen to one song before bed. That was 30 mins ago
I know its terrible to say but I really cba to go out tomorrow. Partly because family have been driving me mad but also I'm just not in the mood for socialising. Just want to stay home and carry on sorting my flat so I can focus on other things.

Had a quintessential roadmen, such is the term I believe the youth use these days, ringing our video doorbell, and then ringing doorbells and knocking on the doors of several of our neighbours at around 3.00 this morning. Don’t know what he hoped to achieve by ringing the doorbell, but weirdly my wife recognised him from a few weeks ago when I was at work, when he was at our door again, this time with 2 others offering us milk deliveries. She refused and they went, but then he came back on his own about 2 hours later to make the same offer.

What’s the tactic here, see if anyone’s dumb enough to open the door and try to force your way inside? Bit of a risk on his own though.

Case the joint to see if there are any vulnerable people there so they can come back later and rob the place? Check if it's unoccupied for the same reasons?

I'd see if you can report it online to the rozzers or via 101. Not expecting them to do anything but at least there's a record if something does happen.

Just trying that now, local police website seems to be just leading me in circles. Can’t really say I’m reporting a crime, but we have footage of someone doing something dodgy. Try to report it as antisocial behaviour and it just takes me back to the front page.

In a plot twist, our neighbour from over the road just knocked. The subscription on our Nest camera only allows us to go back 5 days, but his Ring goes back a month. He has footage of them ringing his doorbell a couple of weeks ago, taken during daylight when they were offering “milk delivery”.

Phoning 101 is usualy the best bet but expect it to take an age. Once you're through to a human they're not too bad.

Just had a missed delivery by DPD... with a picture of my neighbours house... immediately to the left of the photo is a big sign showing plainly where my house is... if he is that blind shouldn't be driving a van... incompetent half-wit.

Well this is turning into a complete shambles... seems the supplier put my address in wrong and it is "-,village name,town name, house name, road name, post code" instead of having the house name at the start and no one at DPD apparently is intelligent enough to figure that out FFS... (it even has house as part of the house name so not like it is easy to confuse with a place).

Guess I'm gonna have to get them to leave it at a collection point as otherwise I'm just beating my head against a wall

EDIT: Funny enough a part of my day job is figuring out the correct address for deliveries when there is an error :s it generally isn't rocket science if you apply yourself.

EDIT2: Fingers crossed I think the AI chat, with a bit of manipulation, actually understood what the problem was and pushed a resolution maybe... which would be kind of ironic.

Well I'm having a great start to the week.

I realised I had turned off my freezer yesterday by accident.

Only realised because I kept on standing on a puddle on the kitchen floor. Lol!

I even blamed maddie for it at first because I thought she'd pee'd in the flat and now I feel really guilty! Lol!

Went to the doc to get my cauliflower ear drained. They said they can't do it and need to go to A&E. I used to get them drained but I don't think I can be bothered.

It's not too bad and I'm too old to care about how it looks. The other side is less bad.

So I got the part time apprentice master job at a national services company!

I get to rewrite and organise their entire 4 year program for electrical and instrumentation apprentices.

I’m actually excited about doing this job, I love training apprentices, seeing them come through from cocky ********* to competent skilled men.

Well I used to get them playing rugby but the medic used to drain them for us.
