Brilliant!@Tefal How did you find Japan?
Brilliant!
Got back Monday.
Need to organise all the photos, ate soo much food.
Tokyo and hakone where my favorites but we didn't see much of hakone just one little loop out spent most of the time relaxing in the thermal bath.
Kyoto was beautiful but ruined a bit by the sheer number of tourists and we stayed in a lovley little traditional house one road over from the Hōkan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda) so we did a fair bit of the area at night when no one was around.
Emptied the airport vending machine of monster cubed as couldn't find a shop selling and have brought back a bunch of spices and miso and broth base and weird snacks.
Need to plan another trip now and see more of the country side.
Great “job” title from an Indeed ad:
I don’t think you need to worry about that at a rate of £50 per week.Inside IR35 or not?
Monster^3 little cans of tripple concentrated monster.Ha! nice to hear and your last sentence is the feeling most people get. They just can't wait to get back to explore more. Don't really get that with most other countries I've visited.
Kyoto is amazing...but the number of tourists just ruins the feel of it. There are others with similar vibe but slightly less touristy, however people have started to discover/go to them more now, need to go before they also blow up. I stayed not far away from Yasaka Pagoda both times, one time I could see it out of my hotel window. I think it has the country's tallest pagoda. It's a great place to see at night during Sakura/Fall season.
btw, monster cubed? Did you get the gacha bug too when you were there? lol
p.s. what did you think of the food?

We didn't do much gatcha a couple at some of the tourist places but that was it.
I have a tori gate with a little white fox showing its butthole from the inaru shine lol.
Food was amazing, tried to try as many different things at one sushi place nearly had the full menu will post some pics once I've got them on the pc.
I want a soaking tub/wet room shower combo and a Japanese toilet now lol
One of the apartments we're looking at in italy has a big ugly jacuzzi tub already so I think it could be replaced and made to work
Not worthy of its own thread, but I’ve had a real shock: a spontaneously burst pipe under the floorboards in our bathroom… leading to free flowing water down from our kitchen ceiling
Pretty glad we were around to catch it… imagine if you were on holiday and that happened *shudder*

I've never been in this thread before and after seeing this I wish I didn't.
does it think vat is fat :SVAT is no different to the taxes you pay in a US store.. the only difference is VAT is already in the price. A business can claim the VAT back on any expenses... people can't. It's not the same thing as tariffs
