Guess I can't do any work!
Back to minus 28 Celsius from a toasty minus 3 in London.
All our cases are absolutely maxed on allowance, most of it is reggae reggae sauce and Paxo.
Always nice to see London and the fam, but always nice to get back to some structure after nearly 4 weeks off
I booked an extra two days off then its the weekend too... Gotta ease back into the hectic life and start planning for ww3.
I could guess that it's 99% the same except the sign postsI have been to northern finland though, skiing, that was lovely , and cold!

The streetlight right outside my bedroom window got repaired. No sleep can occur until it breaks again.
Buy some magnetic tape, and use it to attach a removable cardboard panel to the window. Works an absolute treat.
did the shroud thing already, it's just the light is so close to the house the shroud doesn't do jackOr, if you dont want to look like a squatter, you can contact the council as they'll do things like relocate it or fit shrouds.
interesting idea, will look into thatBuy some magnetic tape, and use it to attach a removable cardboard panel to the window. Works an absolute treat.

Get shutters on the outside of the window? Also great if the sun hits the window in the summer. (for keeping the heat out).did the shroud thing already, it's just the light is so close to the house the shroud doesn't do jack
reading around it seems like people can sometimes move lights at their own expense, but there's nowhere else to put it really so I don't see that working out.

happens to be a dust-mite allergy safe idea, which is why I can't just get blackout curtains or w/e most people do.

p.s. anyone know how to break a streetlight?
Fingers crossed that the cut is the only damage.Partner tripped over in the yard and fell flat on face onto some forklift tines, splitting her forehead open. Took her to A&E by 6pm, had a scan at 10pm and have just seen a doctor now. Waiting to see if she needs a stitch or glue.
They just announced its a 9 hr wait to see a doctor and 31hrs for a bed. There's an old lady laid out on the seats in the waiting room, wrapped in blankets, who's been there for 30hrs already.
I expect we'll be 12hrs by the time we get home.
