It's a clear reference to the witch trial scene. Which starts off with burning her, then moves to drowning her.

It's not all MP. They dont finish off by suggesting they do things to the dead corpse to make sure. Which is my point.

That excuse isn't going to be good enough, she has plagiarized many different plot points from many movies/tvshows and applied it to her relationship thinking that people would either not notice or look past the coincidences.

Yes, but that doesn't change that it's based on the sketch. Which is what he claimed. He never said it was a verbatim quotation or recitation, did he? He said it was from monty python. And it is. His statement is factually accurate.

I dont know if 'he' refers to Johnny Depp or or Jono, not that that makes a difference. Jono said Depp's texts to Bettany were disturbing, to which a few people said it's straight from monty python .Well, not all of it is, which is why i said not all of it is - because that distinction is important as people would otherwise assume the dead corpse texts were also from MP. Which they are not.

There's a big difference between quoting movie scenes with a friend no matter how perverse or wierd they may seem vs quoting movie scenes in a court while under oath as if they were "your truth"

I don't doubt that some of it may have been based on Monty Python, but they still were relatively disturbing.

I think you are totally overlooking the difference between a comedy program applying those words to a fictional woman, and people saying it about an actual human being....

In Monty Python it is amusing. In real life when you start talking like that about an actual human being and take it to more crude/disrtubing levels it's completely different.
