Thorney Motorsport

Because it's annoying spam, not because anyone will get sued. Read the thread, they've already tried the legal action rubbish and failed anyway, they're not going to do it again just because people spammed the company name.

You have got to be kidding me.

I had to see it to believe it... When friend of mine informed me of this post I didn't believe him. I thought to myself "Noooo, John wouldn't address me in public almost a YEAR and a half after I got my car back".

I then thought why on earth would he want to drag all of this back up. Surely it would be in his best interest to to keep himself to himself. In all honesty John, I'm well over what happened back in 2009. That doesn't mean I wont express my view on you (within relevant threads of course)!

So........ You mean to tell me all I had to do was provide you with receipts of my expenses?

Come on now John

And why make out that I never provide people with the facts?

Have you forgetten that it was me who called your business up and told you what happened. Which just happened to be the truth. The truth was then posted online to fellow members of a Vauxhall forum.

Dare I post that link within this thread....

Why have you started a new account when you already have one that isn't banned or anything?

My original account hasnt been banned.

I forgot my password and have been waiting for around two days to get it reset. I created a new one and for some reason it was made active within the space of an hour. I've informed an active mod (whos online right now). Theyre going to reset the password for my old account for me.

I really hope ''John'' comes back now

Right, onto Dair, this is eye opening. We first met Dair via a phonecall, he rings to say his car (Corsa VXR) was smoking badly and he wanted the AA to drop it off. No problem of course so the AA rolls up with the Corsa and we pop the hood, straight away you could see the head/head gasket was gone, there was so little water in it that we didnt try and start it so tool the coil pack off and had a look down the plugs, put some water in it, fired it up and the plugs filled with water. AA man was here while we did it (he watched us for the most part) and he said 'oh yeah, the owner said he'd been driving it for miles with the engine warning light on' Hmmm.

Actually, you had claimed that I had driven the car without any water in the car. Remember, that was one of your claims of abuse! That claim was later removed as the AA report clearly stated that the car was loosing coolant/water! Driven for miles you say... Cant recall the exact number of miles (shall have to back track to my previous thread... You know the one where I told all). I shall find the thread and post it up.

My service advisor rings Dair and says "looks pretty bad, no water at all in the engine but we need to do a leakdown/compression test and to see how bad it is. However, we understand that you drove the car for some time with the red warning light on so its possible that Vauxhall wont cover this under their warranty as they will consider it abuse, if thats the case then we will have to charge for our time as Vauxhall wont pay us" Dairs response was "ok, I will come and collect the car". And thats how we left it.

Yep, I believe that is pretty much how that phone call went.

Fast forward a few weeks and I get a call from Vauxhall, Corsa with blown head, what did we think. I re-told the story so Vauxhall said, abuse we will decline it (it was put through another dealer at this time).

You see, myself and others started thinking...... Why did the car start loosing cooant/water in the first place. Just didnt seem right. So I had contacted some decent people. One of those individuals advised me as to what I should do next. I took their advice.

Dair (who works for a firm of solicitors) fires off a series of solicitors letters threatening to take Vauxhall and TMS to court. So, the wheels of Vauxhall come into play and they investigate further (this includes getting the AA notes from the pick up and even interviewing the AA driver). Turns out what happened was Dair was driving along the M1 and the red light comes on, you know the one, the big red light that says "STOP THE ENGINE, risk of severe damage, contact your dealer" or words to that effect. Dair, in his wisdom decides to carry on for a further 15 miles to a service station. Now at this point you think Dair might stop and pop the bonnet/call the AA? Nope. What Dair does is go to the petrol station, fill up with fuel then carry on. He of course gets 20 feet from the forecourt after filling up and blasts thick white smoke out the back of the car and 'then' decides something must be up.

Hmmmm. Here is a question for you John. Did you see what happened on that day or are your facts based on what I told you and others?

He of course gets 20 feet from the forecourt after filling up and blasts thick white smoke out the back of the car and 'then' decides something must be up.[ lol Where on earth did you get that from?

At this point Vauxhall and us have a meeting, we all agreed abuse but Dair was having none of it, so Vauxhall paid for the engine to be inspected and sure enough there was no water in it, cracked head and declined the warranty.

I wanted a second opinion. I wanted VAUXHALL to inspect the car. So when they called to ask whether I could have my car towed back to your establishment for a second inspection.... I refused. The thought of have you looking over their shoulder as they inspected it disgusted me. I asked whether the car could be taken to a different Vauxhall service centre......

Look I could go over this story over and over again. The facts have been posted many times. For I have never been afraid to discuss this issue with anyone nor have I ever been afraid to tell the truth about what had happened. You on the other hand decide to wait well over a year to discuss what had happened.

Radiator needed replacing!

The garage said this was probably why the car failed in the first place.

Anyway JOHN... I'm more than happy to put this to rest (AGAIN). There will be some who believe me and others (most those fan boy customers of yours) who wont. Just the way things go.

As a customer I have every right to speak of my experience be they good or bad. Will I ever visit you guys again..... Nope, even though I have every right to (Dont forget I could still come back and have the map put back on). Before I came to your all I was advised by a number of people not to become one of your customers... Did I listen... No.

Live and learn I guess.
