Meh, Its a suit. As long as its clean and you look smart then I doubt theyll look twice. I imagine it will matter more what you say.

It may not make a difference to the outcome of the interview but you should at least make your best effort. Going out the door knowing that you look great is a big confidence boost. This can and does make all the difference in an interview.

He did ask for our opinions and I'm sure he's thick skinned enough to take them on board.He hasnt he, and then felt quite dapper and subsquently confident about the interview, however since the slating on his shoe choice hes probably gonna be more self concious of how he appears and that will be far more noticable to the interviewer than the tie knot or shoe style.
