Time to get me McJob

Worked there when I was 16 for about a year, was shockingly bad

The amount of times I got threatened because it was 10:20am and I couldn't sell them a BigMac :(

Once fell asleep on the drive thru on an early morning shift too, built up a queue of 7 cars before anyone decided to knock on the window :(

they banned super size, after that American **** made that film where he shoved a truckload of McDonald's down his neck.

******* ****

Lol at being unhappy, i am guessing you are "large"

edit,

they stopped having supersize meals because of health reasons, are nation is already supersized, it was the correct thing to do.

No I'm 5' 11" 10st

I just liked the super size when I'm hungry, although i only have MacDonald's usually less than once a month. And don't say its because of BS health reasons its up to the person to control shier diet.

Used to work in McDonalds it is not that bad to begin with, until the teenage mothers begin to grind you down to a slow death...

me to get money for not working. After working about 25 crap jobs, I've finally landed a good one.

I do care about my pocket,

Anything to lower taxes is good for me, and If it's good for me than it's good for my family.

Likewise I am offended by your attitude. So you have been at the bottom and worked you way up and now all you care about is yourself and your family.

In my eyes voluntary work has a higher moral value than work for money and people should be applauded for doing it.

You on the other hand only seem to care about what extra money you can get.

I think you have lost sight of where you have come from.

Sorry if you don't like it but that is my opinion.

I said it earlier and I'll say it again, volunteering work is all well and nice but I have rent etc to pay and I'm not ever going on benefits.

Hoping for a phone call tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

My Mum works at McD's on Sundays for a bit of extra cash and to help her friend out, who is the manager there. She doesn't cook or serve, but is one of them people who go round and make sure everything is ok, clear the tables, mop the floors etc. She says it is very busy, but nowhere near as bad as people make out. She reckons that people say it's totally crap because it is usually someone's first job and they are not used to being told what to do, being made to work continuously etc. She says it is not really any worse than another other job which involves the public apart from that fact that you come home smelling of burgers!

So if you are mature enough not to act like a spoilt brat like most staff there, then I'm sure you wont have a problem. :)

EDIT: The pay is not as bad as some people are making out either. It's over £6 an hour anyway.

:) Good to hear, I think thats a very valid point though.

Also I suspect wage will be very low since I'm in bottom bracket (16-18 year olds) So i imagine £4p/h sounds about right for me, which is fine by me just means I might have to put a few more hours in than I would have hoped.

Personally, if I were you I'd try and get a job elsewhere. Join some local agencies and see if there are any jobs going at a Royal mail sorting centre near you. Better pay, better work and you don't come home sodden in chip pan goo.

Well, you're less likely to be turned down for being overqualified than me :p, so why not? On the other hand you're quick to reach conclusions about your other applications...

For the sort of places I've applied for I cannot believe that they would not have got back to me by now if they wanted to hire me. Only exception is British Gas, but in that case I can quite safely say I won't get it.
