I buy tinned beef these days. 300g tin for less than 2 quid or buy a brand for less than 3. Better than spending £3 for pre-sliced that's thinner than Arkwright's bacon.
I normally just slice it but one time I minced it a little with a fork and another time I tried grating it and that turned out.. messy.
