Titanfall 2

just a heads up as it's on discount atm.

33% off through Origin and the code TITAN20 at checkout gets a further discount

£26.65 for standard
£34.65 for deluxe

Yeah just saw this on Reddit, I'm not sure if it is worth the price or if I should wait? I'm happy playing Battlefield 1 and not sure wherever to get Overwatch or not either! All good games come at once...

Bought this...damn it's a lot of fun and the campaign is surprisingly good. Why the hell did EA shaft respawn by releasing this at the same time as BF...it's a really tight package and a hell of a lot more polished than BF (admittedly I'll still play more BF but this is great fun)!

Really want to pick this up but I've already bought bf1, doom, dishonoured 2, hitman this month alone lol!

At £34 for the deluxe its pretty tempting and i loved the first one it was the first game free with my xbox and i played the crap out of it while i had a broken leg (in real life)

Think i'll hold off though as I'm yet to get a decent hour of playtime with family life. If you love gaming don't reproduce haha :D

tried the first one and to me it was pretty much like COD with robots instead of killstreaks
would you say the same about this one?

slightly tempted by the £26 deal, just to add some variety to my gaming (currently switching between bf1 and dishonored 2 during gaming time)

Agree this is no battlefield but if it was released 6 months earlier or later this would own.

Mindless choice by EA. Imagine they wanted to pad their Q4 earnings but this game would have performed much better sales wise if they'd held off. I never played the first but this is a really good game. I've exclusively played amped core, not tried the other modes yet.

Why do people think its a mindless choice by EA?

It was a sacrifice to try and steal the show on COD which to some extent it is starting to do.

Both BF1 and TF2 have received a lot of positive press while COD has been declared 'meh'. It will be a slow burner but can see it doing well for Christmas.

EA are thinking long game and as long as they break even on this it will be worth it for them. They aren't some small time company who don't know what they're doing.

Because it's undoubtedly going to hurt respawn, EA are only the publishers and respawn aren't a subsidiary of theirs unlike DICE. Slightly different circumstances. Wouldn't be the first time EA have put their own needs ahead of the development studio.

EA: Hey Respawn how would you like to help us try and **** over Activision? It might mean some lower sales but we'll see you right with a slightly bigger cut.
Respawn: where do we sign?

I dunno. Vince seemed pretty salty about the release window and there were tensions with the EA rep in a recent interview

Something like

Ea rep: ea will continue to support titanfall as a long term commitment

Vince: whatever the **** that means.

Granted its a transript and not a real video interview so it may have been a freindly jab
